The Waitaki District Council looks after this campsite and for a small fee you can experience the goodness. Please register and pay on arrival - information is on the registration booths.

Parsons Rock is found at the top end of Lake Avimore and it runs along side the road. This is a huge camping area where you can choose to camp underneath massive pylons, or in among trees in a lovely grassy area. This campsite is very low-lying so read the signs as they do make it quite clear where the flooding occurs.

There is a boat ramp, recycling facilities and toilets.
