Short but steep walk to get there.

About 35 min using the path that goes through the pastures. Beautiful spot even on a cloudy day. Not too busy at all. Be sure to bring bug spray. Would definitely go back!

Lovely little (although bigger than I expected) campground.

A relatively if a little steep walk in - tonnes of water taps dotted around, the shelter belts are mature enough to do the job and every bay is beach front. The toilets (long drop) are clean but smelly. All in all a lovely spot and having to walk in makes it slightly more of an adventure for the kids.

    Great, quiet!

The camp site itself is rather narrow along the beach front. Fresh water, but we used a filter, and long drop toilets. Don't go around there for a beach, as it's a stony shoreline and drops off. I walked around the rocks with my son and we set up by the Manuka/Kanuka, bad idea as mozzies love that. But it was a nice experience for my boy. Got to see a local Morepork fly along the beach at dusk. Yes we will go back again. As it's quite easy for just a couple of nights.
