Great spot to freedom camp.
Arrived in the evening after pre booking and it was fully booked out.
Lots of space though, we parked up on the grass by the animals.
Very peaceful and quiet stay.

Nice place, but the toilets at the campingground are very dirty (earth closet).
There are some more toilets and showers at the entrance which are okay, but about 600m to go.
It’s nice to walk around the farm and pet the animals.
The campingground costs 17$ per person/night.

Beautiful campsite, there are so many animals to see and you can get very close to them

It‘s OK, relatively far outside.
I personally found it quite annoying to climb out the car four times to enter the actual campingground.. two times to move the cone placed at a road to the campinggroup and two times to unlock and lock a gate to the actual campingground. Also there is ANOTHER gate to the whole regional park that gets locked in the evening, if you arrive later you have to wait for someone to open up for you.. other than that.. no flush toilets on the ground directly, found the toilets below average compared to other low cost campinggrounds, showers only 10 min walk away and not clean.. I did like some of the animals, made friends with a chicken over the week that I stayed, but this other walking alarm clock was horrible haha 5am every morning. I will say that the site as it is beautiful, very spacious and green

Yep okay, stayed 1 night.
Easy to find and access gate. Lovely locations. Chickens were great, however think there is a broken rooster, non stop wake-up alarm from 4am.

Good place to spend the last night before handing back our Jucy van.
Ok toilet block with basin for washing up. Only downside was a free range chicken that decided our camper was the place to roost for the night! It woke us up at 6am! Quite an experience.

Really beautiful spot and peaceful...
We didn't use any facilities so can comment on those but was a perfect place for a one night stay near Auckland.... Animals were a bonus!

No issues.
Clean bathrooms and nice shower. Fun to see all the farm animals.

Great campsite with nice views out over the bay.
A mix of hard standing and grass pitches
Toilets are basic, showers available by the main entrance
Worth a visit

Great with kids, lot’s of animals!!
The showers are not on the grass area where you camp, the are near the shearing shed so a bit hidden.
A bit pricy but still cheap than any other option around Auckland!

Awesome spot!
So quiet despite being rather central. Lots of animals and space for the kids, nice little walks to explore. Water available, long drops weren't the nicest but a bit of a drive to the nearest dump station. Overall would definitely stay again

Absolutly a great place to stay if you visit Auckland.
We stayed here two nights. It was the last week of the Easter holiday school break so was very quiet. The proximity to the city, the farm animals, the green grass and the clean toilet - all were just great.

Beautiful campground surrounded by stunning coastal walk.
Lovely, flat, well maintained grass field with lots of bushes for shade and gravel spots for cars and when wet.
Campground has washing up facilities, toilets and drinking water, and a short walk to the park entrance gives more toilets, sinks and a couple of hot showers.
It's also a little visitor farm with little paddocks and you are basically shut in the park when the gates close - 9pm this summer, but earlier during winter.
Booking is online for Auckland Council so a bit fiddly but well worth it. 20 mijs drive from Auckland CBD and only a few mins to the airport.

A great place for a night around Auckland.
We stayed here on our first night and did not regret it. It is $20 for two adults.
There are public toilets which are decent. Also there is showers. Not luxurious but they do the job quite well.
There are lots of different animals. So if you like sheeps, cows, horses, birds, etc. this is a lovely place to stay.
So I would say that it is worth the $20 when you keep in mind that they have to run a small farm there.
Be here in good time. The spots for vans are few.

We paid 20$, which is way too much for what you get.
The main gate closes at 5pm, so no way to get in with the car later than that. The toilets are very basic. After a long search, we finally found the showers - and decided not to use them. They are located in the public part of the park, in the disabled toilet cabin.
If you what to take public Transports to go to the city (because you what to come back after 5pm) you'll have to walk 20min to the next bus stop and then ride the bus for an hour.
All in all not worth it, I would rather stay at a free spot more far away from the city.

Wow! Great spot in the middle of Auckland.
Close to airport.
The after hours check in process sucks. Took me about 20 minutes. The online check in had so many hoops to jump through. Was supposed to be charged $15 but was charged $20.36. There were several others struggling to get through the process too. As I finished checking in, another person showed up and opened the gate. Inside was a camp host that checked in several people, cash only. I wish I would have gone this route.

This campsite is perfect, nearby the city and the airport.
For $15/pp you will get access to hot showers, basic toilets, drinkable water and beautiful surroundings! Don't worry about the check in process, just enter the gate on foot and find the host.

With all facilites you need (dish sink, water supply, toilets, showers, etc.)! 10 min from the airport and there is a small farm with a petting zoo, so a really great location (for kids) with a stunning view on the sunset!
