Great campground, might wanna bring your shower tent or shower with clothes on as the shower is out in the open.

Great Bbq burners available. Bring extra lighting if you plan on staying up the toilets have no lighting at all. Campground is not on the shore its on a clifftop and the beach is a short walk away. There's a no camping sign but thats for the historical cabins in the gated area.

Really good for kids lots of space and good trails for walk. Theres a little jetty to jump off at high tide and a little island you can walk to at low tide

Such a beautiful spot and so peaceful!

Easy to book and a locked entrance so I felt very safe by myself! Long drop toilets but clean, lots of picnic tables, bins and bbqs. Loved my stay!

    Beautiful Campsite.

Short walk to the beach. Clean Toiletts. Lots of space.

Booking is a bit complicated (only online at onlineservices.aucklandcouncil.govt.nz) The code for the Gate is sent via mail (seconds after the booking)

I will visit this site again.

There is NO camping allowed here anymore.

All camp fees for peninsula are out of date too. Be prepared to pay $30 minimum per night for a tent alone in the area.

Nice quiet campground, with only toilets.

Safe beach for swimming and kayaking. Eels were definitely a hit with the kids. Planning to camp there again soon.

    Beautiful campground, lots of space.

Great place for kids to explore. Lots to do...beach, walks, mountain biking, see the eels, jump off the jetty. Kids want to go back.
