We were only ones here.
Toilets locked overnight. Shower locked. Good for free. Quiet

• After arriving we had to wait nearly 2 hours before being able to check in.
We stayed for three nights during the week;
We arrived around 12:50 and there was a Nite by Kyle that he'll be back at 2pm, wich he was not. Gladly there was a nice lady helping us instead.
• The public toilets were closed at all times (we used the ones in the Pulman Arena)
• We asked to use the Pulman's showers (as there are none in the park) and she scholded us that all vans staying have to be self-contained (seemingly there are different laws on Pulman Arena's ground where self-contained means you own a build-in shower or whatever)
• The locals litter A LOT
• Locals are loud at all tomes, driving faster than allowed, playing loud music in the middle of the night, loud cars, ypu name it.

Possibly the worst place we have ever tried to stay.
Constant morons in cars with speakers mounted on the grille driving through the grounds with music blaring and every second car doing burnouts and donuts in the car park. We only tried to stay there as it's close to where we needed to drop our motorhome off, but felt unsafe and irritated, also the gates lock at 9pm at night so no escape if these idiots end up walking in in foot and doing god knows what. We ended up leaving and finding a side street away from there that we parked in for the night. Horrible place to stay for a motorhome!!

The car park is okay and safe (but really busy all day) unfortunately people does firework every night (we stayed there 4 nights).
Toilets are public and not only for campers, so they are dirty and not cleaned often.
For the shower (cold), you can find one on the second car park but it’s even dirty and most of time closed (we don’t know why).
If you paid online, the security guy come late (around 11pm), so don’t sleep before 🥲

Only $6 a night for a campervan, cheapest we could find in Auckland.
Basically just a car park but has a toilet, dump station and drinking water. We stayed over the weekend and the showers weren’t accessible (not sure why) but other than that good value for money in Auckland.

Be aware that it is more a parking lot with flashy lights than a park full of trees.
We paid $6 per night for two people to stay overnight with our self contained vehicle. It is very cheap especially for those good facilities (toilets, hot shower and dump station). Pay attention to (poor) signs to find allowed sites (on the right side). Booking online is possible but actually you can pay at the reception of gymnasium (the last building at the end of the parking). There is place for non self contained vehicles too just outside the gate.

Arrived at 19:30 to find that it is “strictly no freedom camping” but the only way to pay is in person at an office that closes at 18:00!
No online, no phone! Dump station is excellent including potable water. We dumped and left.

This place is a car park in the middle of a huge park.
Yes there are toilets and a free (filthy) hot shower.
What lets the place down is there are quite a few down and out locals that congregate during the day into the wee hours of the morning, eating, drinking and arguing. I didn't have any trouble, except a blaring stereo in the evening. But it definitely gives the place a rather yuck campsite feel. Alright as an emergency stop, but far from a decent free camp spot.

For self contained only.
Shower and toilet block is pleasant. Lovely area. Make sure to park in the correct area, as was woken to banging on all windows by security along with 3 other campers due to not being parked on the right side of the path.

This is a great FREE spot for a first or last night stay after picking up or before dropping off your van.
Free hot showers, clean toilets, drinking water and a dump point. We loved this spot. There are quite a few homeless people doing it tough living in their cars up past the pond. If you are dropping off un-needed food ect what a great place to show you care. Thank you Auckland City Council for such great facilities.

Nice place, felt safe especially as there were lots of other campervans there overnight.
Not the most scenic spot but free hot showers and toilets were a winner! As you come in, I recommend you turn right rather than left and park next to the pond in the numbered bays, it's a bit nicer. It was quiet and we slept very well, good place for one night.

Don't miss out on this free site.
New Zealand needs more like these. Only free site I have given a 10. Has a dump station, fresh water, toilets and free HOT showers. Park your van in the parking lot by the nice little pond and save yourself some money.

Fantastic place to stay for self-contained motorhomes.
Maximum stay 3 nights, but it's more of a 1 night stop over location. Not for non-self-contained vehicles - these will be moved on by security.

It has good amenities for a free spot, quite fancy toilets and a shower (though it was closed when we were there) as well as a place to fill up on water etc.
Make sure you park in the right spot though, we got rudely (and aggressively) moved along by security because we were accidentally parked in the wrong spot due to lack of signage.

We had a good night's sleep here.
We are self contained so can't tell you about the toilet and showers, but perfect place to stay for one night. Gate will close so safe place to stay. Please keep it clean so we can use this park for many years. Thank you for having us.

Great place with excellent utilities - dump station, shower and toilets as well as secure overnight parking if self contained.
Can get busy with the excess of mini van tourists but that is no fault of the parks. I strongly advise we all do our best to respect the park and keep it clean and tidy so we can continue to have free access. Mighty gratefull to have stayed and many thanks to Bruce Pulman Park.
