  • An absolutely idyllic site, so peaceful with the waves breaking softly and beautiful birdsong.

Plenty of perfect flat spots for the camper.

  • Lovely remote spot, no toilets, very private and beautiful bay!

  • Big field, so much space.

Two portaloos. Lovely and quiet. A rope swing in the tree and a nice walk down to a lagoon.

  • Lovely quiet place to camp.

We stayed over Waitangi weekend and thus expected this place to be busy. Not so, there were only six of us here. The place is huge and could easily accommodate more than twenty groups of campers. The council puts in portaloo toilets over the summer months. There is access to the sea by scrambling down the cliff face to the rocks below. Much easier to just walk down the road a bit and be on a pebble beach. The owners of the general store on the highway are very friendly.
