    Small secluded site.

Great to watch the sunset and also some little walks nearby

Just stayed here 1 night last night, only us.

Very different to the campsites at other Regional Parks around this area, we expected a large grassed area, but it's a relatively small gravel parking area, with an epic view, quite unlevel. See photos. Could only fit perhaps 2/3 reasonably sized vans, not caravan in our opinion and wouldn't tow down the gravel road in. Decent walks near by, we walked over to Martins Bay, stunning! Toilets and water fountain down the bottom in the regional park parking. Self-contained only, $16.00 per vehicle as a pose $16.00 per person. Visited again after 2 years.

Still good value typical Kiwi site with excellent facilities and great views. Mainly holiday chalets and caravans with small amount of space for tents and campers

Awesome beautiful park to camp in!

Great for stargazing at night or a hike during the day.

Would recommend for a (short) daytrip as well.

Booking was done online, which is not as straightforward as it should be.

Beautiful place and the bays amazing.

Several walks through hilly grass land around the cliffs which were wicked veiws. Arrived at 7 at night and we were the only people. $8pp and the ranger was breif but kind. No signs but can park anywhere on the criss cross bricks at bottom of carpark. Would reccommend for senic views alone!

    What a find!

Lovely views, close to water, toilet clean, great view of the entire gulf. Do not need to book with Council.

    Beautiful setting.

Only difficulty was with Auckland Council - long and tedious phones calls.

This was my favourite spot after 4 weeks of traveling in NZ.

We came around 8pm and were the only one with another camper. It was so peaceful and the panorama is spectacular. We had dinner and breakfast under the Christmas tree and simple soaked it all in and relaxed... great to have such a place in the absolute high season during Christmas- new year. Cheers for that!

    Love this spot.

Safe swimming and great walks esp over to Martins Bay. Plenty of birdlife and interesting old homestead to wander around. A lot of work has gone into the upkeep of the grounds and surrounding farm/walks etc.
