This campsite is closed, possibly permanently who knows because there is no information at all and the phone number to contact the camp manager does not work.

When we arrived the sign just said no vacancies. It looked as though there was someone on sight as we could see a caravan with lights on but when we arrived they just closed there blinds. The gate to the campsite was shut and even though it said no vacancies no one was camping there. No information online to say it’s closed so we have now waisted and 1.30mins of our time and fuel getting to a closed campsite. Useless would not recommend!

Lovely spot, only drop toilets, no water facilities, overpriced when charging $5-$10 for kids.

We were locked in, apparently the gates close between 6pm & 8am no info found anywhere

to this effect including at the office on checkin.

Beachfront camping with amazing views and boat ramp to Parengarenga harbour.

Clean long drop toilets and secure campsite. Cellphone reception. Perfect for running the dogs at low tide. Owners are very friendly and helpful. Phone ahead to gain access as site is padlocked. Best pet friendly freedom campsite in northland.

    Friedly owners.

A lot of space. The toilets are ok, no water flush. It was very windy. Totally flat campground eith no protection against wind. 4G Internet but not permanently.
