    Perfect spot!!

You can arrive whenever you want, the gate is openend the whole night. Plenty (!!) of space, the area will probably never be completely occupied. You can park directly at the Ninety Mile Beach with lots of other campers. We felt very safe and the host is very lovely!! And all of that for just a few dollars. Our favourite spot until now :)

A conseiller. Propriétaire très gentille.

This place is the best to stay if you go surfing in Ahipara, its right on the beach where the waves are just amazing!

The lady owner is really nice and helpful, she is puting a lot of love in this place.

Spontaneous stay for the night coming down off Gumdiggers Road above campsite looking for gumdigging history up there but finding the land had all been blocked by local iwi.

Very pretty campsite run by a rather distracted but pleasant young lady. Good price at $30 for 2 of us. Long drop toilets must bring your own bog roll but they were clean. Many, many locals dirt and quad biking on beach below site all day but they all went home late dinner time so was quiet after that.

Large flat parking area at the very end of the road on Shipwreck Bay.

Very quiet after dark. Only two vehicles parked so it was really quiet. Looks like room for 40+in a tight fit. $25 for the night. Drop toilets and cold showers were clean. Easy walk to the beach. At low tides, the beach connects a couple of communities so there are vehicles passing by.

Friendly manager, who was very helpful.

We arrived after a long day & quite tired. He advised there was a festival on until 10pm & directed us to the other end of the property where it would be quieter. As it turned out, the festival was no problem at all. A few fireworks, a little Bob Marley music....it was all good. The toilets/shower though were long over due for a good clean. It cost us $20 couple/night.

We stayed here for 1 night, could have easily been more.

+ The sites are right on the beach which almost seems like a private beach,

    + Ridiculously fantastic views,

+ Very friendly welcome and staff,

+ Loads of room to choose from,

+ Shower very roomy, cold water but in summer was lovely,

    - Showers had quite a few wasps buzzing around in them,

    - Toilets long drop but the drop isn't very long anymore,

    - No toilet roll in any of the cubicles, male or female.

Loved it though was a nice $20 per site and is a great place to stay before exploring up to the Cape or after.

Basic but beautiful and with very helpful owners.

Go to the local chip shop recommended by the staff and get the best fish and chips in the world. Blew me away.

Campground right on a beautiful beach.

Location is awesome. Friendly campground owners. Lots of space. Facilities are quite rustic, including an outdoor cold shower and compost toilets. Make sure to bring your own toilet paper, and it’s cash only!
