Lodges

A lodge is a place that provides temporary accommodation in exchange for payment. A lodge is usually smaller than a hotel. It is usually a place that provides only accommodation and there is no provision for meals - though a kitchen us often provided. It is normally a stand-alone building used in certain seasons for certain activities. We usually use the word lodge to describe a house or hut in the country or in the mountains where people stay on holiday. Often in rural and rustic places like beaches, forests, and mountain tops. Guests may stay in the lodge for several days.
