Kay is a wonderful host and we were very welcome here.

Our camper stood in the backyard and we could leave it there for our trip to Rakiura/Stewart Island.

    Such sweet and inviting people.

Nice facilities for cooking, relaxing and meeting people. The house itself is an experience. Can definitely recommend!

I found the Blue lodge to be a great place to stay for my trip to Stewart Island.

Like the other reviews say there isn't a lot of room in the back so it's worth giving Kay a call before turning up. You can leave your van there well going to Stewart Island for $5 a night, witch seems to be a lot cheaper than using the ferries gated parking area. The place is a bit rough around the edges so if you the kind of person that loves Top 10 holiday parks you might not like it to much. But the showers have good pressure and Kay is very good at making you feel like your at home and the price is good.

The keeper Kay let me sleep in the backyard in my car and I could use the facilities and the WiFi.

    Paid 25$ for myself.

Also a funny little lodge. You won’t find the same furniture twice. It’s all randomly mixed up but that’s what makes the special spirit of the place.

You need to call Kay to book your stay as there are not a lot of spaces (027 294 5306).

You can park your campervan in the backyard of the Lodge (although it wouldn't suit a big motorhome, I'd say 5 or 6m max) for 30$ a night. You can use the showers, toilets, kitchen and lounge of the lodge. If you don't stay there you can still have a shower for 5$. If you're going on Stewart Island you can also leave your van there for 5$ a night. All in all a good deal !

The campsite is in Kay's garden.

There are very few places so you have to book before. Kay is very friendly. The other gentleman who is present is a bit special but seems sympathetic (when you manage to understand his accent ^^). The kitchen is large and equipped quite correctly. The bathroom is ok with 2 showers and hot water. Not the great luxury, not the cleanest place but correct for bluff, and above all not expensive (30$ per night). payment only in cash.

Charismatic Lodge, has all you need: toilets, showers, kitchen, wifi and a nice host.

It's possible to stay and sleep in your van and use all the facilities. All you need to do is to call Kay (Phonenumber: 027 294 5306). We enjoyed our stay :)

The manager lets you park your campervan there and sleep in it.

You pay $25 and you’re able to access the showers and lounge and kitchen facilities.

Not the flashiest but a welcome stop over when we were looking at going to Stewart island.

Kay will also let you park your van there (small campervans not large motor homes) while you visit Stewart island.
