    Fabulous spot.

Seems largebfor only 3 vehicles as per the sign. The views are amazing. A short walk to the beach, town and next bay along the coast. The view of Taranaki is amazing!

    Beautiful spot!

Mighty windy though when we were there. Just added to the excitement! Dirt road in and out in good condition, only three vehicles allowed per night, must be self-contained, no facilities at all! We jogged some of the coastal walk in the morning, was really cool! Keep it clean! Keep it free! FACEBOOK: @tasmantravels

Clifftop parking with views to Mt Taranaki on the edge of the lovely small town of Opunake.

On a clear calm day this spot is truly magical.

Both sunrise and sunset are spectacular.

Space says three campers only, and not sure how strictly this is enforced, but above Middleton Bay at the exit of Wharf Road, and on Middleton Bay (dog exercise area) near the Surf Club there are extra spots - 3 per site.

No toilet nearby to Wharf Rd, so must have one on board, nearest is Middleton Bay.

The Loop Walk in both directions is fab, either on foot or by bike. Also lovely for dog walking.

OPUNAKE has great cafes, a monthly Sunday Market at the Town Hall and lovely art and gift shops.

Great view for the summer solstice, no toilets or water out there, and can be very windy and dusty, but a wonderful view to wake up too.

It is an absolutely amazing spot right on top of the cliffs.

It wasn’t too busy mid March and we saw a beautiful sunset. There are no toilets or water around but it absolutely great for self contained vans. Can really only recommend!
