Open car parking lot, no facilities.
Perfect location if you are stopping for a quick visit. Can be a bit awkward waking up as people are parking next to you to start work, but everyone is friendly and there were no issues.

Free parking in the city, walking distance to the Isite which have clean hot showers for $2 and last 15 minutes.
It’s free to park here all day for campervans the signage only applies to cars- camper vans are exempt from this charge of paid parking. Thanks Palmy council!

Palmerston seems to have changed its parking strategy recently.
Most spaces that used to be P120 are now P all day. This place is still there and is now P all day. There is a large notice saying self contained camping for 2 nights. However we could find nowhere that said this was free. It looked as if you have to pay for each hour.
We were there at 5.00 in high season and it was completely empty. We decided not to risk staying and headed south for Masterton.

This is a carpark that offers free sleep parking for SELF CONTAINED VEHICLES.
It is a great opportunity to park with a good amount of space. It is quiet but close to city. Also free wifi. Enough to quickly check emails, next destination, local activities and weather. 😁9/10 not because of the park, sadly other self contained campers thought it is ok to urinate outside. . Otherwise a great spot.

Fine, nice quiet place round the corner from the square in Palmerston North, v close to centre of town.
Stopped just for the night on our way through so no need for facilities. A busy camper site, only fits up to 10 vehicles so get in quick to get a spot. Flat and level. Good site

Great spot in the city centre.
Although it's a parking lot, it's designated particularly for self contained motorhomes. Big plus: it's very quiet.
