  • Huge parking lot with signs to where to park near the city.

No toilets during the night: There were closed as we get there at 17:00. Some people seemed to use it to do car races. Not the quietest place and not so recommandable.

  • Quite suitable for an overnight stop.

Park up on shingle/asphalt., and a bit barren. Public toilets are clean – and closed overnight, so don't depend on using them.

  • Nice open green space, got locked in the public toilets but managed to climb out.

    Could do better

  • Relatively quiet spot, loads of space.

Toilets, but they are locked! And they are serious about the vehicle being self contained. We got a $200 fine at 6 in the morning for not having a toilet.

  • Good spot in town (close to restaurants, Pack'n Save...) BUT come early!

Some huge bus and campervans like to take 2 places just for us. They absolutely don't care about the rules and worst, the others! So...

  • Not a bad option if you arrive in the area late at night after a long drive, and can't be bothered trying to find anything else, but if we had the time and energy we would definitely head north of

town a bit to a slightly more scenic site. A large, level gravel car park with some big trees - it served us well in the torrential rain, thunder and lightening storm.

  • Great spot to spend your first night in a camper if you flew in late to Auckland.

Just a large gravel car park next to a park. Toilet locked inside the sporting club overnight which was fine in self contained camper. A little loud with traffic but great for a stop over.
