A really nice, well manicured town.

For what it is, this is the gold standard for a small country town parking lot site. Good public toilets, dump site and clean water available.

Great spot for a late arrival and spot over night.

Very clean toilets which were unlocked 24/7 whilst we were here. Clean, tidy and quiet! Great free spot

Great little site if you’re looking for something within about an hour of Auckland.

We came in late and there was plenty of room. A couple of the other reviews said weekends only but if you look at their website which I will link here you can see that this location is available anytime and one of the other locations as weekend only.

    Loved the stay there!

Lots of spaces (only on weekends tho!) very quite behind the building. Nice toilets with music and stayed open at night, but weren‘t supposed to.. drinking water from a tap and dump station. Also a bit of grass and picnic tables :)

Yesterday we were driving from Coromandel to Auckland and we stopped here.

There were few campers already and was still place for us, but it is saying that is only available during weekends and since we saw some comments that people got fined during weeks, we have moved on to Auckland. Pity since there is not many free camps on the road to Auckland. We didn’t wanna finish our trip with paying a fine in the morning.

Anyway, they have a nice two toilets and a beautiful park, would be nice to stay there.

As parking lots go, it's a goody.

Admistration building is between you and the highway so road noise isn't too bad. Very nice automated toilet that plays "what the world needs now is love sweet love" while you do your business; the toilet operates from 7:30 am till 10:30pm. Don't bother with the 'to go shop' across the street, food is pretty weak IMHO.
