You camp in the carpark with toilets not far away.

Quiet pretty stop. Toilets were clean and cold beach showers. Nice walks from the campsite. Book through Auckland city council, not the easiest website. You need to search for self contained with no location otherwise nothing comes up. Can only stay one night.

Peaceful and clean park on the outskirts of Auckland.

Toilets cleans but no light during the night. Had a spot right next to the beach. Security guard at night - seems like a good thing. Would recommend.

Excellent camping with toilet and a brilliant playground for the kids.

We reversed into our parking space and woke up to a spectacular sunrise over the water. A morning stroll rewarded us with dolphins. Definitely recommend for a stop over. Shelter and picnic tables available. Wished we had more time to explore the reserve!

we stayed here in September 2015.

    Hi Folks,

This was our first experience to not be on a Holiday Park.It worked quite well with our self contained motorhome. Up the park is a very beautiful large play ground. The park was quite busy in the afternoon. The people disapeared to the evening. There is a beautiful beach right next to the parking. As we did not need to use any facilities, it has been a perfect ratio of price/ performance ratio.

One annoying point has been the "public"-line to the ranger to get us booked in. As we did not have any mobile we tried to use the phone connected right next to the rangers office. I was told my mobile does not work. We gave it up in the end. Did also work.....

    Cheers

Beautiful beach with allocated grassy areas to park the van for the night, a small cost with a phone call to the ranger before 8pm - $6 adults $4 child, and gates do close by 9pm, great fish and chip shop

up the road. A little busy as this is a popular place for locals - understandable with a great swimming beach and a good place to be active with walking and running tracks!

We stayed here for 1 night in our van.

    + The views were fantastic.,

+ The space available is awesome,

+ The whole area with walks to the beach and around we're really nice.

    - Our 1 main sticking point was that the toilets were locked overnight which annoyed us as the toilet was in the description.

    It was $6pp
