    A good campsite.

No bookings required - you just put your money in a little letterbox a bit like a DOC campsite. If you want to use the kitchen/showers, you call the council (phone number on the info board in the campsite) to get the access code. Kitchen/showers are old but clean and they do the job just fine.

Great community campsite, very fair pricing and clean facilities.

One of the best sites we have stayed in! Well worth it! Also have powered sites which are very reasonable.

Found the site easy from Rankers directions the garage is now Challenge not Caltex but still the same owners.

Facilities are basic but very clean there is even a cold water washing machine which is free no dryer so need to bring washing line. Nice easy short walk into town with a popular cafe serving great food and a few shops good for one night stops. We had a powered site for $20 for 2 adults.

The facilities are a bit old, and shared on certain days with a girl scout group, but they are quite sufficient.

There is no camp sign or anything of the sort, but the campsite is all of the grass around the white building. All together, we enjoyed staying here!

    Basic, but comfortable nonetheless.

The guy let us stay for free, after telling us we were not parked on campgrounds initially.

Basic camp with only a small number of power points so probably better if you are self contained.

Close to village so any shopping etc can be done there. Tidy and well looked after but can be a little noisy as close to main road.

Not too far from Hanmer so a good low cost alternative to staying in Hanmer that still allows you easy access to the sights of the area

    OK for what you pay.

The building and facilities are a little tired, reasonable sized kitchen, good showers but water pools on floor, free washing machine, toilet block a bit basic, power points limited to one small area. Close to town, lotsa of room for the kids to play but no playground. RTeasonably clean & tidy.
