Hazy Campers is very recommended.
We had rented a autocamper for 4 weeks in February and March 2026 from Auckland to Christchurch. Everything worked fine from the booking, the delivery and on the road as expected. The best is that you communicate directly with the owner Adam who is very responsive.

From planning the trip to returning the van at the end, everything was perfect. The team has been very helpful to book the van, then also at the pick up showing us around the vehicle and its functions. On the road, the van was reliable and very practical. This is our fifth road trip renting a van in Oceania and that was by far our best experience. We can only highly recommend it.

We did a lot of research beforehand and we're very glad we decided to rent a Hazy camper van.
We spent just over a month with our Hazy on the South Island, and compared to the many other vans we came across during our trip, the Hazy was very smart and well organised. The car itself seemed to be in excellent condition as we never had any issues, and even driving long distances was very comfortable. The engine also ran smoothly. The camping and cooking equipment seemed brand new, which was an added bonus. Adam was always very responsive and easy to communicate with. The pick up and return in Christchurch were also very smooth!

The camper was new and in perfect condition, and we had no problems with it at all during our month of travelling from Auckland to Christchurch. Hazy have been brilliant from the get-go!
Since booking several months ago Adams communication via email has been terrific, putting our mind at ease, answering all our questions and making the process really simple.
The van has been fantastic - we’ve done 3000km in three weeks, it hasn’t skipped a beat, and has been great to drive. It’s nearly new, the fit out is superb, it’s cleverly designed, well engineered and you can tell they’ve thought of everything, can’t really fault it. The complimentary bedding and towels are a real bonus too for travellers.
We’ve been so impressed we’re booking another week with one of Hazys vans for our north island adventure!

We have had the best time ever renting a Hazy van for our 3 week trip around New Zealand's South island, so much so we've booked again for our trip in the North.
The van spec is modern and new. It has all the amenities that are needed to make the trip as easy and as comfortable as possible, including new bedding! The layout of the van is great and every little detail has been thought of to utilise space/storage.
The customer service has been fab too- very responsive and friendly. There have been no issues at all. Would highly recommend!

We (german couple, 28y) have rented a Campervan with Hazy Campers for the last 30 days (found via Rankers) - and we are extremely happy with our decision!
+ Adam (Owner) was super responsive from the beginning of our research six month ago till the check-out, reaching him via WhatsApp was really convenient and he helped us a lot answering our questions quickly.
+ The Check-In in Christchurch went totally smooth - same goes for the Check-Out in Auckland.
+ The Van (Toyota HiAce, less than 100k km) itself was easy to drive (automatic transmission) and to handle, with almost no downsides compared to a larger motorhome (having therefore a great value for money).
+ Hazy provides towels, complete kitchen equipment as well as folding chairs/table, so the usual "we need shop what the rental company did not put in" was not necessary, making our start even easier.
+ The interior is thought-through (and super new, from 2024), everything is very simple to use so despite being camping newbies we found our routine straight from the beginning (supported by the user guide and video).
- The Van had no CarPlay / Android Auto - but the Bluetooth Radio incl. charging option was totally sufficient for us.
-> All in all, we can recommend everyone to rent with Hazy Campervans for a great Van and great value for money!
