On the edge of the water in the city of Tauranga, characters from New Zealand author Lynley Dodd's most well-known stories have come to life. Hairy Maclary and his friends look to be caught mid-play and are, quite frankly, delightful. Kids love climbing the sculptures (and are often caught talking to them as well). The playground itself is small but perfectly formed, and suitable for all ages.
