    Nice place.

You can camp out on the 12 parkingplaces on the left hand side as you enter the carpark (on the same side as the toilet block). The toilets are ok, not super clean. It's a popular spot for dog walkers, many cars coming and going. Dog poo doesn't always get picked up so watch where you walk in the grass. It's mainly quiet though, so perfect if you'd like to stay for one night.

    Great place to stay.

We arrived around 19:30 and there were a couple of spaces left. Toilets are clean and is just a short walk to a great little beach and great views of the bay. Security come round at night and check number plates for the number of stays in a calendar month. Feels safe!

Huharua Park was a quiet stay for our family.

The motorhome parked perfectly in the designated area of 8 spaces. There is a public toilet but no shower. However the neighborhood is very quiet and safe to park. We really enjoyed the History of this park as a transit spot for early travellers among the first to settle here. We enjoyed the traquility and the safe environment after having trouble securing a location down by the beach. This was a very welcoming overnight stay.

A lovely tranquil parking spot on the end of the Peninsula, right next to the park, foreshore, an old Maori Pa Site and loaded mandarin trees!

Toilets close by. One camper the day we visited.
