The Waihau Bay Lodge’s Hotel is at the top of the boat ramp and is perfect for relaxing after a hard day’s fishing, sharing those fish stories and watching the boats coming in and out of this beautiful haven. This is big fishing country and the lodge can help you arrange for a local fishing charter.
Waihau Bay Lodge with its stunning views of the Bay has the boat ramp and wharf at its door step. Next to Waiahu Bay Lodge you will find a Post Office (General Store) store which was founded by James Walker who established his business interests at Waihau Bay in the 1870’s. The Waihau Bay General Store has local information on the coast & activities happening in the region.
