    Right next to the petrol station, it’s great for a 1 night stay, woke up in the morning to have the workers parked up around us.

    Nice guys give me a jump start and off we went again.

    We did not find the toilets but we did not go searching as all was a little bit sleepy.

    Looks at Dunedin City Council’s website and information, freedom camping is allowed everywhere in Dundedin City Council area, as long as (a) the vehicle is self-contained with current blue label on windscreen;

    (b) its parked on council land (2 nights only); (c) no more than 3 campervan within 50m; (d) no parking on grass. Good on you Dundedin City Council! but the trick is to find which land belongs to the Council (usually near public toliet).

    A nasty bumpy gravel pullover shared with trucks on the main road.

    No facilities or view and lots of traffic noise. Desperation stop only!
