One of my favorite spots I‘ve been to!

4 lots to choose from after 5pm. Very quite at night, feels safe. Toilets 1 min walk away (24h, flush toilet, light, paper towels??) everyone who mostly freedom camps onows how luxurious that is! 😂 water fountain and tap to refill bottles at the playground near the water!

4 spots, as mentioned previously there are two public toilets within 5mins.

No other facilities but the spot is out the way and within walking distance of some restaurants and pubs.

The side closest to the buildings can access the WiFi (not on the grass side).

    Quite parking spot.

2 minute walk to public toilets which were open all night long. There is drinking water available by the skate park, which is right next to the parking. Officially you have to leave the spot at 9am, but because it was raining really hard that day, the council man who came by told us we could just stay parked there all day, which was really lovely.

Only 4 spaces, a couple of public toilets less than 5 minutes away and a good location.

The basketball court/skate park were busy and it was pretty noisy but felt safe. Also managed to get onto free wifi from the info centre/rugby club but I think we were lucky as signal wasn’t great and the phone had to be held in certain places.

Like other reviews say, this is just a small car park with limited spaces so only good if you’re stopping for a short amount of time.

Great location, a calm and lovely beach just around the corner and next to a little town, with shops and restaurants/bars.

just 4 camping spots on a parking place, so come early in high season (5pm).

4 parks, no facilities but public toilets within walking distance.

Basically just a carpark. No view but it’s free so can’t complain.

Good spot in the middle of town, was nice and sheltered too.

The marina toilets are a couple minutes walk away and are open 24/7

Quiet car park with no facilities but there’s a public toilet about 5 mins walk near the water - good for one night.

Council car park close to town, easy to find, quiet and out of the wind ( was windy night).

No facilities but good place to be able to park and sleep for the night.

For the price you can’t go wrong!

Super close to the marina, lots of shops and cafes. Bathrooms are close by and very clean. There isn’t any grass to sit out in as it’s just a parking lot but you can walk across the street to some benches along the beach.

Good area just in front of a green area and beside the marina.

1min walk to the public WC. 3min wall to the main Street. There is a bar nearby which blasted the music very loadly, but did not disturb our sleep really. Recommended!

    17Sept18.

We had intended to drive round to Cook’s Beach free site but it was getting late and I was tired! Stayed here instead. A hidden gem in terms of cost (free), access and quietness. Snapper Jack’s just down the road supplied 2 of us with a fish and chip supper for $10 total! A bargain. Public toilets not far away at the marina

Nice little area to free camp for the night.

It’s a car park away from the street facing a grassed area right near the lake front. Very close to town centre! There are public toilets very close by. No rubbish bins.
