Nelson Cathedral
The Christ Church Cathedral overlooks the city business district at the top of Nelson's main street. Built mainly of Takaka marble, the cathedral is set in a garden with many outstanding trees.The Cathedral is open to visitors, and interpretation panels tell more of the history.

Real nice welcome.
Interesting to see how all different groups of the community have their place in the church. Pictures showed you young and old are working together.

A lovely calm place with interesting stained glass.
A flute was being played beautifully when we went in.
