  • Beautiful parklike grounds very well kept with clean facilities and great water pressure 😀.

Jan was fantastic, and very helpful in advising what to do and see in and around the area. The resident ducks, fantails and quail that come out early morning and at dusk made our stay extra special. It's an easy 900m walk into town along the waterfront. This is a great base to explore Paihia and Russell (via ferry) with the camper parked up for the day. Highly recommended. Off season pricing very reasonable and not busy so happy days! Thanks Jan and the team for a memorable couple of days ❤️.

  • Small spaces, like SMALL, but had some friendly neighbours, staff was super friendly and had a sweet pooch on site, very helpful and kind.

Countdown is a super short walk away, showers were fabulous, unisex and large!

Over all a small site with outdoor wash up behind toilets but was nice to experience. There is currently a worksite in the next paddock over and from what we have heard and naughty/unwatched white dog next door so don’t encourage it and keep your pooch in your space and on leash.

  • Nice spot amongst the olive trees with running quails and ducks.

But a 3$ surcharge on Fridays, another 3$ surcharge for paying with a credit card (which is more than the 3% advertised) plus 2$ for a 4 minutes hot shower, no kitchen facilities…. It’s a lot for not much

  • It's 25$ for one person in a non power spot (38 if you are 2 persons).

No kitchen but sink to do your dishes, a kettel and a toaster.

You have to pay 2$ per 5min for a shower, which i had cold because it wasn't working. And it takes only 2$ coins. But she gave me back the money i spend the morning.

The emergency phone didn't work neither anyone was answering the phone number writte on the door.

It was really loud because of the road and the dog of the owner spent all morning to bark.

The place is lovely and well maintained and the lady is nice. They do recycling and they have laundry facilities and a hair dryer.

    Free unlimited wifi.

Still i find it really expensive for what it was, specially if i compare to other Caravan Park like Top10.

  • This place is so awesome!

We arrived later than we thought in paihia and were looking for somewhere to park up overnight. There was no booking required, just park up and pay in the morning. The grounds are stunning and the toilet and shower facilities are the best I have ever used. They are cleaned 4 times a day, there was no bugs (not even in the middle of the night) and the shower pressure was better than my own at home. Well worth the price!!

The host even encouraged me and my husband to share a shower as the cubicles have heaps of room. We never had to wait for either a toilet or a shower.

  • Well where to start.

    Let’s start with check in.

We arrived at 1pm. No one there. There is a phone to call them. A frantic voice tell you check in is at 2. all you want from them is your lot, but all campers just had to wait for an hour for nothing.

The kitchen is just a pagola with disgustingly old soiled cookers. Don’t even think of a fridge.bird poo on every chair and table. Would take 5 min to clean up, but no ownership.

$2 for a hot shower when the campground powered is 55 per night with two adults is steep...

Also when the campground is full there is just not enough facilities. Queues at the toilet, shower...

On the upside countdown is just across the road.

Look: in comparison to many European campgrounds we stayed at still good, but far below the kiwi average.

One thing is certain: first and last time here.

  • Cost $45 for a powered site and two of us, the showers cost $2 for 5 minutes.

When I tried to use it the hot water wasn’t working so had to get a member of staff to help, not a very nice shower either lots of empty bottles and blocked drain.

However managed to charge everything and refill van with water. Countdown is across the road which was handy as well. But all in all was expensive for not a lot.

  • We arrived today and were pretty disappointed.

The kitchen is just a small cleaning area. Most of the toilets are in a trailer you know from bigger events. However what was absolutely shameless was the two dollar fee per 5 minutes of hot water in the shower. A powred campsite allready costs 45 for two adults. Never again

Very nice people and very clean facilities. They do a very good job and have a brilliant system for late arrivals and non-bookers. You can arrive at any time.

I felt very good and cozy (especially recovering a cold in my campervan), hot water always available for tea.
