Had a wonderful four day trip from Whangaroa to Bay of Islands to Great Barrier and on to Auckland.

Caught fish, kayaked , swam, helped sail after a little tuition,

ate and drank well. All in all a great time with a very professional but relaxed crew.

John gave us a perfect day out and a first time sailing experience, not to be forgotten.

We sailed out of Auckland harbour over to Rangitoto, launched the dinghy and paddled to shore, then continued the day by walking to the summit of this interesting volcanic island. John's knowledge of the island, professionalism on board and attention to detail generated overall confidence, while at the same time ensured good light hearted fun in a relaxed atmosphere. A steady supply of snacks and drinks added to the experience. Our day sailing with John will go down as one of the main highlights of our New Zealand holiday.

My wife and I were looking to do something different for our upcoming (and much needed) vacation to New Zealand.

We realized that neither of us had ever really sailed before and decided to give it a try. After much searching we found JG Adventures. Let us tell you that it made for the best vacation we have ever had! John (the Captain and cook) made us feel not like customers but his friends. He not only took us to some great coves, beaches, and islands but also allowed us to experience sailing hands-on. We recommend JG Adventures if you want an amazing vacation and the ability to experience and tour New Zealand from a different perspective.

I had a friend flying into NZ and I wanted to make the trip special right from the start, I called John and not only did he organise us to do a trip but he made some great suggestions to improve on my

    very scattered idea.

We spent 3 days out sailing, motoring, swimming, walking, snorkelling and relaxing.

It could not have been better!

I have lived in NZ a lot of my life and I saw more native birds on one walk with John than I have ever seen.

This is an experience not to be missed and, as it turns out, the best way to get over jet lag!!!!!!

A beautiful yacht with wonderful hosts in John & Ginny. Gentle sail up the inner harbour on a a lovely summer's day. Good wine, delicious lunch an excellent sailing. Next time - hope we have time to kayak ashore and explore the coast.

My 'sea-man' skills will improve with practise and looking forward to steering (as long as we are in wide open ocean) and having a lesson hoisting the sails.

Organised a group of friends for 5 days sailing in the Hauraki Gulf aboard Justice in the beginning of 2009.

3 of them had no sailing experience whatsoever. An awesome trip, the weather was kind, the meals were exceptional and every day was full of hilarity. Our evenings were mildly lubricated to the point of continuous laughter when ones sides are really hurting. It is then that you realize we never laugh enough and it is so therapeutic. The skipper is an amazing host and I believe you could put 6 or 7 complete strangers on board and John would have them interacting so well so fast they would be best mates within a few hours - a sign of his skills as host.

As a skipper he would be one of the best I have saied with. Good enough to put my life in his hands when I helped crew Justice from Fiji to Auckland. Cool, calm and very collected.

Around the Gulf he knows all the nooks and crannies, the history the peace and quiet and where to find it.

I will be back, thats for sure - if he will have me ?

We have just returned from a couple of days sailing during the Xmas break in and around the Waitemata Harbour.

This was a great experience for our twin boys aged 9. They enjoyed the hands on experience of anchoring, helping with the sail, steering etc all under the watchful eye of "Uncle" John. Food was great and appropriate for children. John kept us well entertained with his knowledge and tales of the "sea" and related topics! Boys were exhausted at the end of day adventure and therefore a fabulous sleep had by all. We recommend JG Sailing without any hesitation to anyone contemplating a relaxing, exciting family break.

We have had two fantastic trips on "Justice" .The first was an 8 day cruise in the Fiji group starting from Nandi and finishing in Savusavu a short plane hop back to Nandi.John and Ginny were fantastic

hosts and made sure we got to great dive spots using Fijians for local knowledge and introduced to village life and the traditional kava ceremony in quite a remote island.

The second occasion was completely different - a short Auckland harbour 6 hour trip for our staff of 8 for a pre- Christmas outing for non sailors who enjoyed immensly the real sailing and informal entertainment , swimming off the boat and on time delivery back to Auckland.

We can highly recommend J G Sailing.

Fantastic day out for our end of year staff do.

John managed to organise some perfect sailing weather for us (very clever of him), with plenty of sun and enough wind to keep us moving. Yacht Justice beautifully maintained and skippered (and ably crewed by Ted), safety instructions given, all in all a great day on the water. Anchored for lunch in Islington Bay, and took the dinghy in to shore for a quick walk on Rangitoto Island - what more could you want for a superb day out of the office! Am keeping fingers crossed for another trip out next year (or even sooner!!!)

Having spent last weekend aboard the Justice, my only regret was having to return to shore on Sunday evening.

I have no hesitation in recommending this as a genuine sailing experience worth every dollar. The boat itself is spacious and comfortable yet remains a serious ocean going vessel. Had the weather turned ugly we would have been well entertained below, with plenty of books and Dvd's I also took my i - pod (just in case) however with the excellent music collection / sound system on board and the many interesting conversations we had my i - pod remained unused. The meals and snacks that John conjured up were of the highest order and combined with the wine and dining on deck under the stars, made for a very enjoyable experience. Of course at the heart of this experience is the sailing, clearly John is a highly experienced sailor and his knowledge of the local waters is second to none. For me personally with a passing interest in Astronomy. Setting sail on Friday evening really set the trip off, as did dropping anchor at Chamberlain Bay under moonlight. Both my partner and I were given ample opportunities to assist in sailing "Justice" including taking the wheel and assisting with the sails. What more can i say "WE WILL BE BACK"

I cannot speak highly enough of the week I spent with John and Ginny on board Justice.

Their friendliness and good humour was evident from the beginning and I soon learned that this was combined with professional high standards - the facilities on Justice, the organisation and all the food were excellent but in particular the opportunities to have "adventures" were carefully orchestrated to safely deal with a madly keen sailor from England who cannot swim!!! I had a wonderful time, I pulled as many strings as I wanted, learned to read the woolies, became very adept at negotiating the dingy to enjoy trips ashore and enjoyed much laughter and friendship. I'll be back and have already recommended to friends as a perfect way to enjoy some of what NZ must be proud of.

Spent four days from Auckland, out to Waiheke and Ponui Island in the Hauraki Gulf, over Christmas.

The good old Kiwi Christmas weather packed it in as usual, but JG Adventures made sure we had fun! Delicious home cooked meals had us all stuffed full for days, and the conversation and stories flowed. The boat is equipped with lots of games and books for all ages, snorkel masks and fins, and the cabins and interior is very spacious and comfortable. Hot showers were much appreciated after the ice cold swims! Overall a highly enjoyable experience that I would happily repeat!

A truely Kiwi sailing experience with a knowledgable and fun skipper.

We spent 10 days going from Auckland Harbour out to Kawau Island and Great Barrier Island. John (the skipper) knows the sheltered harbours for when the weather gets a bit rough, and we had a wonderful time swimming, snorkeling and fishing.

All our meals were provided and we could help out if we wanted to. It was a wonderfully relaxing time and bit of a different way to see some gorgeous parts of New Zealand. A very relaxed and fun atmosphere, we were all included when it came to pulling up the sails and loved every thrilling minute of it!
