Temple Campsite

North of Lake Ōhau, within a beautiful beech forest in a large, flat area. Tramp the North and South Temple Stream tracks.

Temple Camping Ground is a basic DOC campsite with 30 available tent sites. Located in beech forest north of Lake Ohau. A great location for tramping the north and South Temple Stream tracks and the general Lake Ohau area. A big shelter to cook in.

    Beautiful spot, and actually dogs are allowed, but check DOC pesticide summary because some areas of the temple have regular predator control.

    Grassy area on edge of Beech forest besides the river, lovely walks. Picnic shelter with a fireplace.
