    Nice wee park spot at start of track.

    No facilities but does have reception. Lovely walk reasonably easy track we'll maintained awesome birdlife

    This is a great spot if you're fully self-contained - there are no signs here though.

    One of the earlier reviews must be for the Bush Camp which is a large facility back down the road from this freedom camping spot. There is really is nothing here really, other than peaceful seclusion, especially if it's only you (as it was for us). We stayed in the first carpark/ turning circle, leaving the one by the tracks entrance clear, partly because it wasn't as flat.

    The walking track was nice, with a few seats early on. Nothing to see though, but still a nice loop track.

    I imagine in wet weather it might get quite muddy here.

    A good spot for a one night stopover.

    Secluded and isolated with no facilities. A walking track through bush with limited views (we did not do the full track). Probably not worth the drive out there unless you are passing by in any case.

    Magic spot at the start of the Gunns Bush Track.

    Peaceful. Only 15 mins from Waimate turn off.

    Very nice, clean, and quiet wee place.

    Not too far off the highway, but is better than staying on the side of the highway. There were very few bugs here as well. There is absolutely nothing at this site, other than a place to park, so would recommend for one night stay.

    Not too far off the main road, a beautiful small free campsite at the start of the 4.1km Gunns Bush track.

    We were the only overnighters. There a is no toilets or water but a lovely walk along side a beautiful creek to finish off a day of travel. If you stay make sure to leave it spotless, which just the way we found it.
