Go on a relaxed 2.5-hour tour of the town and the waterfront. Gisborne is a beautiful city to explore by bike; the city is flat with a lovely cruising surface making it an easy ride for all skill levels. With its rich culture, there is always a lot to see on your ride. The cityscape includes quiet inner-city roads, urban connection routes and dedicated cycle ways that give you an amazing view of the older homes and lovely architecture that dot the city.

You can go on a gourmet vineyard cycle tour to visit a selection of the region’s best wineries and attractions. Travel along quieter country roads meandering through the Poverty Bay flats and discover the wealth of produce and flavour from our popular aromatic wine region. Get to know the wine makers, wineries and some fantastic historical and cultural sites.

How about hopping on to a more vigorous cycling adventure? Bike around Tairāwhiti and across to Opotiki with us. Had a lovely afternoon out with Katrina cycling around the city.

She was extremely knowledgeable about the area and pointed out lots of interesting facts - even though I'm a local I learnt so much about my home town! We stopped at Sunshine Brewery for a little refreshment. Thanks so much!

I have just done a guided cycle tour with the Gisborne Cycle Tour Company - afternoon cycle ride from Eastwood Hill Arboretum to Rere and the Wharekopae River pools, rockslide and a picnic by the waterfall

, evening meal followed by a comfortable night back at Eastwood Hill Arboretum (the largest and most comprehensive collection of northern hemisphere plants in the Southern Hemsiphere), then a stunningly beautiful early morning walk amongst the mature planted forest (fresh green leaves and abundant flowers in the spring), followed by a delicious breakfast and a morning cycle ride back to Gisborne stopping at local wineries on the way! Awesome! Loved it! Congratulations Katrina and Anelia (Gisborne Cycle Tour Company)!

I was in Gisborne last week, and can safely say that my day out with The Gisborne Cycle Tour Company was the highlight of my trip.

Katrina was more than happy to share her local knowledge of the area with me, the vineyards we went to were absolutely fantastic and I was really pleased about how much of the Poverty bay I got to see. Doing it all as a bike tour was a really great experience. Thanks so much for a great trip!
