Information

Enjoy camping on the flat grassy river terraces at the Pakuratahi entrance. Feel free to put up your tent or park your campervan where you choose within the designated camping area.

lush toilets and a treated water supply are located at the centre of the campground. Bring your own portable shower or take a dip in the river nearby.

You are welcome to bring your own portable gas barbecue. Open fires are permitted on the river bed only. You must have the Park Rangers’ permission before lighting a fire. Please bring your own firewood.

here is no dump station at Kaitoke Regional Park. The nearest public dump station is on SH2 in Upper Hutt, 12km south of Kaitoke Regional Park and in the rest area by the river (500m north of Moonshine Bridge)

There are no powered sites at Kaitoke Regional Park.
