Rangihau/Moss Creek Junction
Time: 2 hours one way
From the junction, descend steeply through shrubland for an hour and cross the river (no bridge). About 10 minutes downstream from the crossing are the remains of the heavy base timbers of the Kauaeranga Main Dam (not on track). The track climbs steeply from the river for about 1 hr before
reaching Pinnacles Hut.
