    Loved it here!

The parking spots feel quite private amongst greenery, separated by picnic tables so you aren’t on top of eachother. The bathrooms were great and also included unisex bathrooms which were fab for sharing toiletries with my other half! The ladies also had a hairdryer and straighteners to use. Toilets clean, flushable and with small bins. Plenty of mirrors and even chairs. 2 mins walk from centre, bars, restaurants.

Very interesting camping site with all spots nestled into pockets in the surrounding forest.

Felt very cozy and wild at the same time. Amenities are OK but nothing special. The ever present sheep jokes will put a smile on your face though :)

One of the better sites on our trip.

    Definitely recommend!

You can tell this place was created by fellow travellers, they’ve thought of everything. The showers are clean and hot, lots of power points, even hair dryers in the bathrooms. The campground is the perfect location while also offering privacy. Self check in was easy. Enjoyed my stay here!

Cheapest spot in Franz and a nice jungle feel thanks to all the fauna around.

Showers are great and have hairdryer & straighteners available. Toilets all clean and flushing! Dump station & water available, all tap water is drinking water too, but no refuse/rubbish/recycling. Pitches are nicely spread out, wifi free and ok.

Had a great stay here for 6 nights!

Loved all the small spots in the rainforest. But be aware - its quite humid everywhere, especially when it was raining! My car needs some sunshine to dry up again ;)

Wifi doesnt work that good, but there is good phone service with Spark. Kitchen is without pots.

Great value for money, great place.

The layout was lovely for feeling like you have a bit of privacy with each site tucked in amongst the greenery. Some sites had awesome views of the mountains- choose carefully! Lovely friendly staff and a chill vibe. Non powered sites aren’t allocated so bear in mind that if you leave and come back, your favourite spot might have been taken.

Showers were unreal- better than mine at home! Not many of them though; wasn’t an issue for me but I imagine this might be a choke point when it is busier.

Lots of mozzies near the “lake”- would recommend picking a spot not near there…

Very large, scenic, set amongst magical woods, for all types of vehicles (powered and non- powered site, small and large cars etc). Shower facilities good quality but only two for a very very large site. Kitchen was abismal - very very slow to heat up, very low power, only two units (for whole site)!!!

Actual individual site per vehicle so good and sectioned by natural foliage part of the forest.

Pros - great location, fantastic views of the mountains, plenty of space and the sites have illusion of privacy due to hedge position.

    WiFi is included and decent.

Cons - kitchens inadequate and poorly kitted out. Toilets and showers have no hand driers and were not especially clean. Shower temperature all over the place. No recycling bins. Felt basic and doesn't compare well to other sites we'd visited before and after

Very crowded and disorganised site- hard to find a spot.

Not enough facilities - we weren’t able to use the kitchen at 5 or 7pm as they were both busy (both outside too so you get eaten alive by sandflies and mozzies).

Very expensive for what it was - we paid $36 for 1 night powered.

Toilets were dirty and sinks in areas stank and were full of stagnant water.

Sorry but would recommend the other campsites in town any day as you pay a little more but get HEAPS more in value.

This was overpriced for what it offers which, beyond the location, isn’t much.
