Waikahoa Bay Campsite - Mimiwhangata

Information

Waikahoa Bay Campsite

Camp beside a sandy beach among pōhutukawa trees. A great spot for water activities.

The Waikahoa Bay Camping Ground has no Campervan access, the road to get there is gravel, narrow and winding, with a steep 5 minute walk to the campground (all gear must be carried). Once there you can camp next to a beautiful sandy beach and chill. Enjoy.

    A truly beautiful spot.

Yes - basic facilities (toilets and water) - but a fantastic place to stay. The walks and beaches are simply stunning! Safe swimming. Easy 1 day bikepacking trip from Whangarei via back roads, if that’s your thing 🙂.

Very beautiful - the water looks like Fiji here.

My favourite site in the area.
