Wow so cute so many amenities and so clean, served such a wide range of budgets from car campers to powered sites to self-contained apartments with pride and diligence.

The staff are super helpful. We are beginners and stayed in midwinter, so we really appreciated the lovely communal facilities and kitchen, hot showers etc. Very easy walk to the hot water beach spot and they rent shovels. They had a deal pay for 2 stay 3. It was awesome we loved this place.

We stayed in the Cabbage Patch campground and loved it!

The ladies at the front desk were very accommodating with our requests to be somewhere quiet. There are plenty of pockets to tuck your tents away for a more private camping experience. All amenities are within 2-3 minute walking distance. Free hot showers with no timers and bathrooms are clean.

Upon checkin, we were told when the best time is to explore hot water beach. You’re also given a detailed map and description to get to the beach. Free shovels are provided. The tide was out between 12-3am for us I’d highly recommend the night experience!

Very clean and has all the amenities - our first top 10 holiday park.

You can even rent a spade to dig at the beach and they give you the low tide times at check in. This place has pretty much everything. We stayed in the off season and I imagine during summer it would be jam packed. Only issue is that the kitchen was not well tidied but that is the fault of other guests.

Even a tv screen in the shared living room. You can rent a spade to go for a trip to hot beach (10 min walk), dig a hole and relax in the hot water that comes up to the surface. Really recommended!! Make sure you go on the right time when it's low tide.

Wetter.

My almost 2 year old loved the jumping pillow. Campsites where nice and big. Only the main kitchen was open at the time so a bit of walking and could do with more cutlery. All and all a very nice campsite and heaps to do in the area.

    Beautiful place.

    Very friendly staff.

We came here with our 7m long campervan. A lot of space available.

We enjoyed our stay here and walked to the hot water beach during the night. (Advantage: Glow worms on the way to the beach and only few people).

We hired a spade from the campsite.

We would come again for sure.

    This place is terrific.

Flat, spacious motorhome sites. Spacious, clean facilities. Great play areas and activities for kids. Onsite fish&chips shop. Walking distance to Hot Water Beach along beautiful, well maintained boardwalk and track. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly - really appreciated their advice and suggestions. Easy short and scenic drive to Hahei Beach, possibly the most beautiful beach in NZ. We stayed two nights instead of one because we liked this park so much. Recommended.

    Hi Zoe,

Thanks for your review and unfortunate that you felt we were overpriced. We do have a beautiful, well tended family holiday park. We have free, hot showers, a well stocked kitchen, nightly security, onsite takeaways and grocery store and our staff pride themselves in caring and keeping our facilities clean and in great shape. This of course comes at a cost and we do change our prices - depending on whether it is peak season or low season. We also run specials on a regular basis so best to follow us on our Facebook page to hear about them.

Big campsite- quite a few large groups staying too but lots of toilets/shower , kitchen was v busythough.

Short walk to beach (we and others there didn’t actually manage to source the hot water.. but space hire from campsite was 5$ and still quite fun) nice private and spacious tent/van spot. 42$ two people unpowered van - overall great facilities and everything you need but as expected quite a touristy atmosphere given a chain resort next to a tourist attraction.

    Hi Tash & Laura,

We are sorry you did not access the hot water on the beach. The hot water springs on the beach are only accessible 2 hours before and after low tide. We do provide a variety of accommodation from a motel through to unpowered sites, to satisfy the needs of all travellers. We do go quiet in winter which is an awesome time to visit as - we are a tourist attraction and a traditional holiday venue.

Wouldn't bother with the actual hot water beach itself if we come to NZ again, but this holiday park was good.

Had a nice campervan parking spot with bushes either side for privacy. Bathroom was good, could have done with a bit more counter space, but that's all I can say for negative. Showers were free and had good temperature and pressure.
