We loved this remote campsite - such an incredible place go wake up!

Absolutely huge place and easy access to the water - the view was amazing for the drive in and out as well so if you're looking for a stop in remote nature this should definitely be it!

Not rated 10 due to the toilet which was unfortunately pretty horrible (folk need to close the lid on the long drops!) But it is a great spot for a nature pee!

    Really beautiful and quiet.

The campground is open, but the nearby hikes are still too damaged to use so we just took the paths to the river.

    Nice open, isolated DOC site.

Loads of flat grassy spaces for tents and plenty for RVs too. No officials, just a donation box. Tiny but functional toilets and water 500 meters away in the river. For us it was rather spoiled by a huge number of very busy bees. They didn't bother us but the air and ground were thick with them. Whether this is always the case I can't tell.

Great campsite...plenty of room for all.

Crystal clear river, easy walk down to. 3 toilets. Spectacular scenery, and good walks nearby. Donation for camping, so please do.
