Time: 2-4 days

Mount Arthur - Tablelands Track is is one of the Nelsons Regions premier semi-wilderness experiences situated in the middle of Kahurangi National Park

The most popular start point is Flora Carpark, at altitude of nearlly 1000m, it allows folk to access this alpine area without too much uphill slog.

For a special experience, try spending the night in one of the rock shelters.

Great country, amazing views and rugged landscapes. Enjoy.

    Great hut and facilities.

Beautiful tramp into the National Park. Great views! The drive can be scary in an older, less powerful vehicle.

Steep gravel road to the carpark, a lot of walking tracks, remote, beautiful huts, 1 to 5 day tracks.

    Amazing view - amazing hike.

It is like being in an enchanted forest. Stunning! The path is well kept but goes up and up and up - great workout. Both the climb and the long steep drive in are worth it. We went up to Arthur Hut and down by the Flora Hut since we were tight on time. Still AMAZING!

Nice summit, less people, great views, for free if you do not stay in a hut.

Very steep gravel road to car park.

Really lovely 3.6 km walk to the hut. Go slightly higher for the view over Kahurangi National Park and the coast. Weather permitting.
