From the top of Port Fitzroy/Okiwi Hill at Aotea Rd the track ascends the southern ridge with views of both sides of the island. Travel under the forest canopy to signposted junction to Coopers Castle lookout, a large andesitic rock bluff which offers extensive views. The main track descends from lookout junction to join Kaiaraara Track.
