A wonderful spot with a stunning view on the queen Charlotte sounds and a little quiet bay to swim (water was warm for NZ).

There are toilets and a water source, which did not seem drinkable (yellowish)... I'd advise to get water before arrival. You have to walk a steep track in the forest to access it so you definitely can't go there with a campervan.

There were 2 other tents, we were there end of Feb.

Really cool spots for tents, with good view.

You have to walk 100m but totally worth it. Great change to be there alone.

The beach is great and really beautiful, with lots of birds singing all the time.

We stayed for two nights, we were the only ones camping there and it was great. The second two other couples joined, one of them a bit noisy, but it was really wonderful experience anyway. There's a water source, which should be drinkable (at least we were told so by the friendly neighbour and we drank from it without boiling) and honesty box for money.
