Siberia Camping Ground

Information

Siberia Flat Campsite

This is a standard campsite in the Motueka area. The campsite adjoins the Rolling River, popular for fly fishing, at the start of the Wangapeka Track.

The Siberia Flat Camping Ground is on the edge of the Rolling River at the start of the Wangapeka Track. This river is a fly-fishing extravaganza and is also a fan of the evil sandfly.... so cover up!

The road to the camp site is not suitable for large campervans as it is unsealed, there is also a ford to cross, which becomes un-passable after heavy rain.

No fires permitted here at anytime. Stream water only.

Definitely a camping site I would visit again.

The Crystal mine was the top of all things at this site to experience. Also, the friendly Wekas were an added bonus. Long drop available there. But beware of the sand flies. There are more than normal at this site.

Great place, but be warned that the Dart River ford is now much deeper than it used to be.

Would cause problems for most vehicles that don't have high clearance.
