Great location, German style campsite (saying that in a good way, so everything clean, tidy).
Nice playground for kids, outside kitchen, indoor kitchen, meeting room, kids corner, etc. Only minus is bathrooms are to small (not size, but number of units comparing to size of camping).
Town center just across the road. It is not the cheapest, but definitely worth its money.

- Location (next to main road, so only car sounds; sometimes loud pedestrians).
Meh:
But walking distance to town centre
- Small: not much choice of space, but facilities are thus sufficient for everyone.
Pro:
- Friendly staff
- New facilities with great cleanliness
Con:
- They charge extra for many things, which (at that point) surprised us. We later found out that many (TOP10?) Holiday Parks do that - with mean surprises for the guests (see other reviews).

Great spot!
Very very clean & super lovely reception staff. Showers were hot, free & had excellent pressure. No one else used them while we were there - very quiet. A stones throw to town too.
If you need power & a shower this is a great wee place.

Kitchen facilities only hotplates, 1 microwave and 2 toasters. Have to pay extra for cooking equipment, crockery and cutlery.
Need to queue for showers and toilets both inadequate for number of guests.
Powered sites lucky dip to get access to a waterpoint.

This is the first negative experience I've had in NZ after travelling for 2 months.
I've generally found new Zealanders kind, laid back and all accomodation to be super welcoming and good value (I'm from the UK so prices are similar).
This place was just such poor value for money and such a poor experience overall. I felt they are just profiteering from the popularity of Te Anau.
It was over $50 per night for an un-shaded, unpowered square of grass next to a noisy main road and a car park. The hot tub, cutlery etc was all at extra price.
There was no flexibility on cancellation/refunds even though they were very empty in terms of camping sites.
I was even asked to leave please on the last day, after having paid them quite a large amount of money over 4 nights. I had vacated site and was just sorting out food/electronics in kitchen.
It's all 'by the book's which I'm sure they would say but having got used to some really amazing hospitality in NZ it was a bit if a shock to have such a soul less commercial experience.
I'd recommend finding somewhere else- my friends stayed in better places by the lakefront which were quieter, greener, kinder.

Due to a last minute decision to take the Doubtful Sound all day cruise required that we find a powered site for the night.
Nice park directly across the main road from the Lake Te Anau. Clean showers, kitchen and toilet areas. The drive the following day to Milford Sound was easy. Don't miss the sunset over the lake-awesome!!

Everyone rates cleanliness of the bathrooms and the overall atmosphere of the park.
Certainly this park rates a 10 in both of those categories. The thing that blew us away was the absolutely outstanding service of Brad. We had a blocked sink and he literally had us in his maintenance shed to clear the line. we have never experienced anyone who has gone so far over and above our expectations. This place really deserves a 12. Did I mention they have a Jacuzzi tub as well. Best place we have stayed this trip.

On the plus side generally the park is quite small and compact, mostly well presented and mostly clean (my daughter said the toilets were a bit ‘greasy’).
Niggling issues were the lack of facilities given the number of people staying at peak season – this is quite a normal occurrence in New Zealand, but no doubt compounded by there only being 4 showers each for male and female, 4 toilets each for male and female and one lonely urinal. The kitchen facilities were similarly inadequate in number of cookers and sinks. There was a little queueing at peak times, but not the worst I’ve encountered. The drains at the back of the motels where our site was were poorly designed and very noisy, sometimes late at night.
Our troubles concerned to site we were given. There was poor communication it had been divided in half to squeeze in a campsite. When asked to move our caravan, which was crossing the line, by 2 staff they were not interested in our complaints about difficult site access and its small size making fitting caravan and car there very difficult, and that we were reluctant to move. They left seemingly saying 'that's ok then'. The owner Brad came the morning after. He is the rudest campground owner/manager I have ever encountered. He was not interested when I complained (quite forcefully as I was still annoyed from the day before) about the site. No sorry, no empathy. He was just incensed that he lost $65 from being unable to use the campsite that we had previously been told was ok to occupy. Money was more important than our complaint. Even after I moved the caravan, angry words (but no prophanity or loud scene) continued until we were evicted from the site on the grounds of 'your not being happy staying at the park' and 'your attitude'.

We have been at top 10 parks before and always found great camp-grounds which fit into natural NZ surroundings.
Therefor this one in Te Anau is very disappointing. No
real campground, more a large parking area within compound of cabins. Extremely good facilities though. But not our idea of camping in one of the best sceneries in NZ.

Said 48$ on Rankers and it was actually 59$ for a one night 2 people powered site which is way too expensive for what it is.

Good lounge area and lots of space in the kitchen. Laundry good as well. Wifi only works in the main building. Expensive $$ $48 for 2 people in a non powered site. Did not seem right as a powered site was only $2 more? But if you have kids this is a good place as there was tons of stuff for them. Right in town, walk everywhere. We stayed en route to Milford Sound but it snowed overnight so we were snowed out and had to change up our travel plans as it was our first night/day in NZ. The lady at reception gave us an earful for still being there at 10.10am changing our travel plans. Rules are rules, yes, but we were trying to leave asap.

The park was well placed in Te Anau and had good kitchen facilities.
The staff were helpful and friendly. We stayed in a self contained motel room, which was good but had a few not so good points: 1) there was nowhere to sit to get fresh air/sun. the park benches were quickly snapped up by the campers and there was nowhere outside of the room. 2) What was outside of the room was a boardwalk that everybody stomped along to get to reception, which meant it was noisy. 3) out the back of the room were campers in motorhomes and caravans and with the bathroom window open you could hear everything that was being said by the campers and hence the concern was that they could hear what was going on in the bathroom! This site served a purpose but would have preferred these deficiencies were addressed

We stayed two nights at this holiday park.
First morning we left already at 7.30 in the morning and on the second morning we had already left the camping spot before 10.00 but we're still using (our purchased) wifi to search for the next place to go to. One of the employee stepped in the lounge shouting whether everyone in there was staying for the next night as well, otherwise we had to leave immediately! She acted very rude without a reason. You're paying quite some money ($42) to stay, so the employees could be a lot more friendly!
