Lovely quiet nature campground, trees, hot 5 minute showers, clean, well presented, laundry with iron & board, 3 x washers, 3 x dryers ( $4 a pop) recycling facilities, one of the most expensive on our

South travels but one of the best.

Almost reluctant to leave a review for fears this place will get too busy..

Erwin and Nat are super hosts! Hands down the best top 10 I’ve stayed in. Clean and great facilities. Even a nice stream to float down along side the camp in summer! Thanks team for a wonderful stay. I’ll definitely be back!

We stopped in Omarama after deciding to skip Tekapo and Twizel, bit gutted the pools were closed but had an awesome meal at the local pub and the haberdashery was well worth a visit.

Campsite was super tidy and clean, again The bathroom heating was almost non existent and showers are 5 minutes so not great when trying to wash up with a toddler, in summer though we reckon it’d be smashing.

Lil dude was gutted he couldn’t play on the giant jumping pillow due to the frost but it looked awesome!!

Very nice campground, but right beside he highway so a little traffic.

Kitchen nice and large and washrooms clean and good. Lounge area to sit in. Only issues we had were the maintenance, they gravelled the road for the first 2 hours we were there and would have continued well past 530pm for dinner but we mentioned the noise to the owner and he asked them to come back the next day. Unfortunately they also had a carpenter working on new builds well past 7pm which was again very annoying and inconsiderate. Bonus was heading to the outdoor Hottubs down the street for a soak and reprive. Highly reccommend the hot tub soak spa for sure! 1.5 hours in a private oasis in at the base of the mountain in a wood fired hot tub. It is a must do!

Good sized camp ground, not too dry like some we’ve been to.

Staff were really friendly and helpful. Kitchen has some pots and pans you can use, lots of toasters and microwaves and a bar along one side for people charging things! Really handy. Cost was $45 for two people, I think $25 for one person so not cheap. Close to a pub/bar (on the corner, good food. I think it was called gumboots and jandels) as well as Four Square and petrol station. Free hot showers but limited to 6 mins I think. Great place to stop for the night if you want good facilities!

The first top 10 on the road for us.

The site itself is opposite of a gas station and some shops. It was a fine campsite for some peace and quiet. It was not that crowded and the tent sites were spacey and relaxed. The kitchen was well equiped. Pretty good for a top 10 site.

Good location, right next to stores.

    Good kitchen and spacious.

Showers were disappinting. A button that opertes them, and if you press more than once, you get "punished" with 3 minutes of cold water. Also if more than 1 person takes shower at the same time the pressure is really low.

This camp is lovely, located on the main road near lots of eating alternatives, and adjacent to a fast flowing tree-lined stream.

The manager was friendly and helpful. Facilities are clean. Laundry had a large number of commercial grade machines. Campsites are large and grassy with picnic tables, and there's a playground. We walked to the local pub for dinner. This was a very enjoyable stay.

    I liked it here.

It was fairly quiet and for good reason $38 per night for single person on an unpowered site. However the showers were great and the kitchen roomy. Clothes washing is 2 x $2 coins and the dryer is the same cost for 30 mins. There are sinks and a washing line if you would rather do any washing by hand. For $5 you can purchase 10GB that covers a 24 hour period. Speed around 6Mb/s.
