We loved our stay here!
The southland might be our top spots on our month long camper van tour of New Zealand.
This holiday park was clean quiet and the perfect location for our morning and evening beach walks! Deborah was awesome and even set us up with a baby bath and infant soap so we could give our 5 month old a much needed bath!
Super cozy spot with a lovely family feel - thank you!

What an amazing spot… Deborah and Grant are the best hosts and take great care to ensure guests have a phenomenal stay.
I intended to stay only one night but ended up staying for 3 in a powered site. Be sure to grab a coffee from the neighbor and wander out to the beach at low tide to see the sea lions. All facilities very clean, good wifi, and a beautiful spot.

We enjoyed the site so much we stayed for 2 nights!
We were very fortunate in securing site #1 for both nights, which has a fantastic view across the bay. Worth asking if it's available when you book.

Decent holiday park.
You need to pay $2 for a 5 min shower, it makes sense though as their water source is 100% rainwater. They have 1 toilet, 1 sink, and 1 shower per gender. Lovely walk to the beach! We saw a sea lion. Powered site 1 is the closest to the beach track and has a beach view. Don't forget to ask for the wifi password if you're checking in late!

Beautiful campsite, gravel road to get there.
Usually 2$ for showers, unless you pay cash. Prices on here not quite correct. Paid 40$ for 1 adult with campervan and power. The really nice lady gave me a spot with direct beach/sea view. You walk 5m and are on the beach. Beautiful walk for kilometers on the beach with sea lions. Very tranquil campground. Clean and good facilities. Would definitly recommend! Wifi included.

Great wee spot.
Not huge but that's part of the appeal and guests seem to be friendlier. On tank water so showers on coins to keep them brief. I support this. Kitchen good enough with extra equipment too - always handy. Good advice about when to see local wildlife so we're pleased to experience the area. Nice and quiet and would have stayed longer if we had more time

Fantastic small scale campsite at the end of a gravel road.
Facilities are great, kitchen en shared room have a very cosy atmosphere, and kitchen is well equipped. The great perk is that the campsite is close to the beach, for wonderful walks. And of course the sun set sitting area. We have travelled last year and this year for a month with a camper, and this is really the best campsite we have been.

We stopped here as our electric camper had ran out of power.
We hooked ourselves up and found the owners to witch they were very understanding and extremely polite and allowed us to power up until we had enough km to get to another power sight. During our brief stay they allowed us to use all amenities and only asked for a small fee! Over all lovely place would stay here!the beach is amazing and we got to see one seal! He was very friendly and came and said hello. Cannot recommend this place enough

I was on a motorcycle trip by myself camping all around the south island.
This was by far my favorite place I stayed. I was hesitant to stay at holiday parks, but as soon as I pulled up the owners were extremely friendly and welcoming. The beach, sea lions and facilities are amazing and it's exactly what I needed after a long chilly, wet and windy day of riding. I even woke up to watch sea lions playing in the bay directly in front of my campsite. I don't really write reviews but felt I needed to make an exception for this place. It's definitely worth staying if you are by yourself, with friends or with a family. I would 100% come back if I'm ever down there.

Highlight of the stay was the beach walk to see the local sea lions!
The little kitchen was small but functional and free outdoor bbqs were nice. Free 200mb of WiFi per night was handy to. the only shame was the showers I understand being on tank water means they need to be short but would’ve been nice if it was warm too!

When we went, the new owners had only been there 2 weeks. Grant and Deb were great. Facilities are great and super handy for a beach walk. Watch out for the crocodiles though. The showers are a pain but they are on tank water so it's understandable. They have heaps of DVDs to borrow at no charge ( but please be honest). I can't wait to get back there one day.
