    We camped two nights.

The facilities are old but are complete. The kitchen closes at 10pm. There is wifi but it doesn't work very well. There is a TV room but it also closes at 10pm, you must go to your tent or van, there are no spaces for common use after that hours

    Great holiday park.

Smaller sites but quite adequate for our campervan. Wonderful kitchens and the best Wi-Fi we have ever had in a holiday park. Toilets and showers are a bit older style, clean and tidy. Highly recommended

Definitely worst camp ground of plenty we went to in all of NZ!

I would rather enjoy a rusty nail in my knee.

Taking a look at the campground in general, one recognises that someone really put thought and heart into all of the facilities but it seems no one did anymore, and that for a very long time. On the one hand, the facilities close at 9pm, and on the other hand long term camper are everywhere around so make sure bringing a small tent or a very tiny car to fit it in a very narrow space. But my favorite is, that also wifi is not working at all (or maybe it also shuts at 9pm, not sure?!). When you're connected to it, it mentions 'connected without internet connection' and when you have the very rare chance of being properly connected, simply enter youtube and you'll be disconnected in the glimpse of an eye without any warning, which allows you to happily burn through all your data volume pretty fast.

In conclusion a rare experience who everyone with strong nerves will enjoy. My recommendation for the others who are more sensitive: simply pull over on a street with a nice sight and accept the $200 fine and you probably had a more blessing experience.

2* because laundry was good :)

    Hello There.

    Thank you for your feedback.

The grounds have been taken over recently and new management has been selected. A new directional strategy has been set in place and the work ahead is keeping us busy.

Presently our main bathrooms/showers in the center block are going through refurbishment and should be available soon again.

The grounds have a standard size of 6m wide power sites, some longer than others to accommodate all types of caravans/campervans. Non powered sites can be freely chosen by our guests after check in.

We are also looking at upgrading our wi-fi. We have approached several providers and the selection is still in progress. The present Wi-fi we have has a reasonable speed, when the grounds are busy, this may affect the connectivity, as it can be in any public places.

The $200.00 dollar fine you are suggesting is way more expensive than our powered sites that sit at $48.00 per night for 2 adults, $36.00 for one. Unpowered sites are $45.00 for two and $30.00 for one person. the other types of accommodations we offer, such as cabins, en-suites, self-contained and motel units have their pricing set as they offer different packages.

    Thank you

    Nga Mihi.

    The Management Team.

    Not welcoming.

They close the kitchen at 9 pm and kick everyone out. They advertise 2 kitchens but both nights we were there one kitchen was closed for "private function". The kitchen was crowded but at 858 the guy came in and announced "2 minute warning". Everyone was throwing things in bags, grabbing pans of food and walking out with the food still in pans. They don't open until 7 am so if you are an early riser too bad. If you want a cup of hot tea in the evening forget it. No place to warm it up after 9pm. No lounge area. Basically you feel like you are a nuisance they tolerate but only until 9pm.

Good sites, beach just a walk down the road, nice kitchen, friendly staff, dairy/chipshop basically on site. There was a playground, which our four year old liked. The bathrooms were a little bit dated but you need a code to get in which I like for security, and they were clean.

    Good location by the beach.

It was cold and very windy but our powered site was between hedges which helped. Good well stocked kitchen with everything you need. In fact there were 2 large clean kitchen dining areas. Kids enjoyed the playground and fuse ball in the lounge. They’ve made a good effort to brighten up the concrete block and other bland buildings with cheery murals and local details.

Because it was so cold I found the bathroom by us a bit cold and dated like a big concrete block. Water was hot though.

The place is not as beautiful as many others I’ve been but staff friendly and the facilites are quite good (everything clean, good showers and all the things for cooking, though some of them there were

rusted). 25$/person and 5 min walk to the beach. The only thing is that wifi was not working arround the place (except in a little tiny place outside from the kitchen/showers/tv lounge facilites).

Pricey for the facilities, $45 for 2 people.

Very cramped campground, your basically lined up on some grass w/nothing separating your campers. Our campground was across from the cottages, and there all painted with cheesy themes. The walk to the beach is kinda far, not at all on the beach. Facilities are fine, a little dated but the shower was strong and hot!

Site is very well organised with plenty of facilities to keep the kids amused,a nice bbq area by the kids playground

Had powered site and rates were very reasonable

And not wanting to two caravan back to home left down there in storage at 5 dollars a night a lot cheaper than towing caravan backwards and forwards

Couldn't sleep for all the bright lights shining in through top windows of cabin!

Went to office to see if they could turn off some of the outside lights; lady was unfriendly & unaccommodating, said no one had ever complained b4! And?! Turns out there were already 6 comments online about it! Richard the groundsman was happy to sort it & turned off 1 of the many lights which helped a little but curtains are definitely needed! Also we were charged $6 more than what website price stated. Cabin was clean, although no cloths or teatowel. All the mattresses were uncomfortable, shower was brilliant! No chance of a lie-in both mornings as next to kitchen & walls were paper thin. There was no pool or spa facilities sadly for a cold winter climate. Compared to other holiday parks found this one a bit outdated & overpriced

we stayed here for 3 nights with our campervan.

It was a very good location for exploring the Otago peninsular and Dunedin. The facilities were all good -especially the showers. Excellent internet too which is rare on these sites. However the plots were small so not much space between the vans or privacy. We stayed out till bedtime so it was not bad. Good price at $40 a night for 2with unlimited showers included so close to the city. Beach and restaurants not far away. The Esplanade Italian at St Clair was good.
