Such an amazing spot to stay.
Friendly staff and amazing facilities. Was super grateful that we could bring the dog here and have her in the cabin with us. Will 100% be coming back and would highly recommend as it’s right close to the lake and great fishing there!

Perfectly clean and well organised campsite.
Paid 42 for 2 persons unpowered, great view over the lake and the mountains. Very friendly and helpful owner, friendly locals too.
Moana is a nice little village, there is a bar and restaurant nearby the campsite.
Only downside is the paid showers ($1 for about 5 mins), but then again $21 per person isn't much for entry aswell.

I paid $21 for one person on a small unpowered site for my tent.
Showers are still $1. Location is good and the hosts are helpful. Noise of powerboats from the lake during the day and a view of the lake. A small shop. Not a lot of spaces for tents. Large living room and average kitchen and bathrooms.

Agree with the fantastic views, friendly staff, good hot chocolate.
The kitchen is good, some pots/plates etc. Large living room, laundry with dryer. There are close walks. Also some beautiful spots to park.

Excellent motor camp new friendly owners.
Very nice setting to wind down our trip a bit and the location was perfect with good walks and views of the lake. The shower was a bit finicky with the dollar machine but it's good regardless. Enjoyed our stay would recommend

Motor camp in a handy location if coming in from the north or before/after Arthurs Pass.
Friendly owners were happy to help me with an umbrella and site closer to the amenities during a massive downpour. Big shower block which is coin operated. Good kitchen and lounge room areas.

Stay way!
Nice Location apart from the rail way and residential building blocking the lake view in places. Cabin smells like cat pee, carpet and sheets are stained, it was cold and all three of us were still itchy from mite bites days later. Facilities are filthy and owners rude. Do yourself a favor people stay somewhere else.

NEW OWNERS are really making the most of this absolutely stunning spot.
The views of the lake are just gorgeous and the town of Moana is peaceful and calm. There are $1 showers with excellent water pressure (8 of them) awesome coffee and hot chocolates from the camp shop, a laundry with $2 wash cycles, easy access for big vans and to the dump station and water, a basic kitchen/lounge......but the view! Wow-wee. Owners are super pleasant and helpful and nothing is a problem- highly recommend.

$34 for two people on a powered site.
$1 for showers and freezing cold bathroom. We were the only people there. Free 1hr wifi per person. Unusual but not unfriendly owners. Incredible views of Lake Brunner and the mountains.

Rude, obnoxious camp managers.
When you approach them they snarl "what!" at you. Overpriced cabins which only have a bunk in them. Stained sheets, dead moths and cobwebs. No hot water for dishes in the kitchen. No drinking water - at one point no water at all. No toilet paper. Regret staying here. Would have asked for money back but intimidated by managers and sure they would have laughed in my face.

Would not bother going again.
Site quite old and not well kept. Showers cost $1.00 for six minutes of water (although good shower once paid for!). However, Lake Brunner is beautiful in the morning - lovely view made up for the poor campsite (paid site).

Woman in charge (Camp warden?) didnt say hello when we get there, kept talking with friends...
Charged 28$ for a non powered site (thank you madam for "generously" offered us not to charge our girl who is 4...).
Showers and facilities were not that clean and are getting pretty old now.
The campsite faces the lake, but in between, there's the railway, noisy.
Definetly too expensive for what they offer there.

Among the 11 motor camps we had stayed during our vocation, Lake Brunner Motor Camp got the best scene of all.
You could bring out your camping chair, sit down and enjoy the beauty of Lake Brunner which just lay in front of you as soon as you have parked your van into a power site!
