It was in a nice spot and close to the city.
Regards what the other reviews said the owner was ok but blunt and maybe a little unhelpful. The thing that put us off was all the signs plastered everywhere of rules and orders around the place which made it feel very unwelcoming.. in the morning we was fully clock watching and felt a bit unsettled.

Didnt have any major problems but was hesitant after seeing rude staff reviews.
The owner was bluntly polite enough, however the signs around the site make you feel on edge, the ‘do not’ signs are everywhere, very unwelcoming. It wasn’t a terrible stay but we wouldn’t stay again, certainly for longer than one night

Where do I start.
Right from when we paid the money for the powered site it went downhill from there. After parking our campervan alongside a seemly permanent setup I attempted to add water to my cam and the water was too far away and had to bring the camper close to trees to fill. Then we went to wash the clothes and looked at the shower situation which was nil. The shower doors are padlocked so that was a no no. The wife looked into the toilet block and found 3 of the doors were jammed and she couldn’t open them, luckily we are self contained but another downer. All in all I wouldn’t return to this dump ever again. I read some of the reviews and didn’t take a lot of notice of them and wish I had. I would never ever suggest someone stay here ever.

Nice tidy campsite.
One of the cheaper places to stay in Picton. Arrived in the afternoon and got four powered sites in a row no worries. Clean, basic facilities. Hot showers. I'd come back for sure.

Top spot 5 minutes off ferry especially as we were on 8.30pm arrival, don't pay online, just arrive and pick a spot and pay in morning - cheaper!
All amenities ok, train track adjacent, 1 train in night woke me not my wife!

Perfect stop after the 8.30pm ferry.
friendly staff. Hot showers. Hairdryer in ladies bathroom. Facilities could have been a little cleaner. From other reviews was worried there may be a train rattling through in the middle of the night, but it came through at 7.30am which was a relief! Recommend for one night if getting the late ferry.

Nice spot.
A little outdated kitchen. Wifi not so great considering you had to pay for it. There’s a permanent resident on site and it looks quite shabby. I would recommend moving him to a spot that’s not so visible or have him tidy his area up.

Avoid, avoid, avoid!
We made an online reservation as we were arriving late from the ferry, but when we rang the owner on the day to ask him about arrangements for arriving late, he said he couldn't guarantee us a
place - weird definition of 'reservation'. He was then incredibly rude when we tried to sort things out.
The place is also in disgusting condition with many broken/dirty appliances.
I heard several people saying there were leaving early, despite having paid for multiple nights, because the place was so grim.
There are much better places, closer to town for the same amount of money - don't go here.

Good enough campground and facilities.
We arrive after midnight off the ferry. Rang in advance to enquire, said we could just come and find a spot and pay in the morning. Used the toilets (clean enough) and left early morning. Contemplated driving out but paid at reception... $40!!!!! To park our car for 6hrs?! So overpriced, pretty disappointed. However I suppose we paid for the convenience to come in late after the ferry

We arrived in off season (May) at 7pm off the ferry.
Paid $20 per person, bathrooms really needed to be cleaned, timer on the showers and the kitchen needs work. One plate, one ladel, a spatula, a toaster, an old microwave and hot plates make up the kitchen. Refrigerator is out of order and a deep freezer is available. Loud trains late at night and early in the morning. Wish we would’ve paid $4 more at the Top 10 park

Not a nice place to stay even a night.
The powered site was just mud.
The train was passing over us: much noise.
Close to the harbour to catch the ferry.
Unfriendly staff. Actually, it’s a place where people live there.
Showers were dirty, no lights, of impossible to open the doors.
Stinky and dirty kitchen.
not recommended at all

Good kitchen and clean bathrooms I guess but that's about it.
The train runs over your head in the campground and during our night it ran 2 or 3 times I think. Didn't sleep much that night... owner very tired and the whole park is very tired. My boyfriend took our kid to go play on the playground but quickly came back because it seemed very not safe. Go somewhere else even for the night. It's not worth the money.

What a hole.
Was there because they let us have our dog. Obviously the person on our site did also as big dog mess soon as I got out of my car. We didn't even use the showers in the morn as he whole place felt so dirty. Was not the cheapest place but still cheap, felt I should have been paid to stay there though. Will never go back there.
