Excellent place and camp owner/manager very pleasant.
Noticed he was always out cleaning the area. Stayed non power near the road. Didn’t hear a thing. Facilities are great.

Great facilities (showers hot, powerful and free), $11 pp per night unpowered site. Would come back :)

Very clean and modern facilities.
Only $11,50 for a tent site which is very cheap regarding to the camping quality. Lovely staff, I highly recommand this place !

Excellent facilities and convenient location, centrally in Masterton.
The daily cleaning keeps the place very tidy. A new fence around the whole property has filled the security gap that used the plague the park. The kitchen supplies, especially pans for cooking, are tired and need replacing. Rodney and Jelena will be missed once they’re officially gone mid 2018.

Took my son, hubby and 2 pups there for what I hoped would be a relaxing long weekend.
The park is a lot smaller than you'd think from the pictures and you cannot access the river to take dogs on a walk or swim. Campsite is located right next to the main road, so although you have the convenience of a petrol station right across the road, there is a lot of road noise if you're in a tent. The facilities are very nice and staff are friendly. Not much to do for kids unless you're up to walking down the road for pools, etc.

The first me my wife and 2 year o lddaughter went in for a paid campsite, and we really loveed and enjoyed it.
Not too expensive, and all the facilities were in good condition. Totally recommended.

Expensive, $38 for powered site, one person.
Crappy wifi. Only stayed because I got in town late. Never again
Seems we didn't meet your expectations on this trip. Your non specific comment regarding "crappy wifi" surprises us as we have boosters throughout the park and haven't received any other complaints in this area - perhaps you are referring to the amount of free data supplied on check in?? The free quota is enough to check e-mails etc if you needed more you only need to ask and we would've discussed options with you. Such a shame you didn't experience the full value of the Park including free laundry facilities, proximity to the centre of town for shopping & dining and so much more..Happy Camping!

Good facilities here: kitchen and bathrooms good.
It was quite busy in October. Not particularly picturesque or peaceful, but family-friendly, and close to town. And you have to pay for wifi.

This place is a short walk into town, good clean facilities and in a pleasant park.
The open to the street issue has been resolved as the park is fenced and you can get a code for the gate from reception. You pay for Wi-Fi.

Rodney at Mawley holiday Park is just a beautiful, charming local.
He runs one of the nicest parks we stayed at. The holiday park was affordable, clean and beautifully looked after.
Rodney came and checked in on us which was very nice of him, unfortunately the weather was typical New Zealand weather and our camper got bogged. We managed to free it with some help from some of the semi-permanent residents which was also lovely and very helpful.
We made sure to tell Rodney that's we'd made a mess and he was completely okay! He blamed the weather and not us and he was just an all round lovely bloke.
We'd stay again here every year if we could.
Clean shower and bathrooms as well! No wait to use them.

Fantastic facilities, a well equipped kitchen (plates, pans, cutlery, everything you need really!).
Even a piano in the dining area. Nice grassy location near the river. Lovely.
