Clean place.
Nice amenities. Unfortunately, Customer service/information was lacking. They would hardly give out wifi coupons even to paying customers. Seemed like they didn't want to answer questions. They keep bright lights on all night pointing at the sites... so it's difficult to sleep. On a side note... City of Levin has great potential to be beautiful
...But doesn't feel that safe.

Chose this camp as stated was dog friendly but had to leave dog in car at entrance to camp.
Everything apart from bathrooms locked at nine pm. Useless if you wanted to use lounge which had no heating. Overall camp clean and tidy but our room smelt like urine.

Our shared kitchen, TV room, dining hall, laundry and games room close at 10pm. Regarding dogs, as stated in the listing, guests who are camping with their pets are welcome to bring them, advance bookings are necessary. You'll be allocated a site in our "pet zone". We are not pet friendly in our rooms.

We loved this holiday park.
It was clean and the owners were wonderful. They suggested we go to Waitarere Beach and we wouldn't have known about it otherwise. Each site is lined by hedgerows. They have clean private showers with hot water and a clean kitchen. Levin is a great little town to get away from the tourists and enjoy a a day at the beach. Perfect park to stay and relax.

Overall OK.
We took an unpowered site ($16 per person), there's a large grass area where you can set camp, either near the trees or further away (your choice). The lady at the reception was nice and friendly. The facilities are clean. The kitchen is big enough, with stoves, sinks, tables, chairs, dish soap, kettle, microwave, fridge and a few pots. The showers are free and timed (5 min). But it was the silliest shower I've ever taken: they have good water pressure, which is great in itself, but not so great when you can only control the temperature and not the pressure. I spent half of my 5 minutes either freezing or being burnt, reaching for the wheel-like knob and trying to get it right. It probably gets better at the 2nd try. There's a big play area for kids. The laundry machines operate on coins, and you don't need washing detergent (liquid detergent is dispensed directly into the machine, included in the price). The strange thing is that the kitchen closes at 9pm - so if you arrive late at the camping, you need to hurry. No one kicked us out at 9 sharp, but the owner did come at 9.30 to close it (luckily, we had just finished doing our dishes). Same goes for the laundry room, open from 7am to 9pm. Good mobile signal. All in all, a good place for our one night stay.

Really friendly couple at reception who went out of there way to ensure our stay was good. Excellent kitchen and bathroom facilities ( especially showers). Our kids enjoyed the space and layout for riding their bikes etc. Levin has great public playground, but the camp had fun playground for the kids that was more then sufficient and catered for our eldest to our youngest.

Sorry you had a bad experience. We are new owners and have been here since April 2012. Since we've been here we've repainted and redecorated the entire park inside and out. Added a brand new dining hall and kitchens. Built a children's playground, outdoor draughts board and I promise you we're friendly!!
