Very clean, excellent facilities, good location and very well run.

Cost $50 for an unpowered campervan site which is about right

For all the facilities. There is lots for kids here, a cafe and a licensed restaurant. Close to town. There were free sites on the beach that had smelly toilets and very strong wind. No brainer to stay here.

The park has all the amenities you could ask for, but I've gotta be honest—the bathrooms, despite being cleaned, had this pretty intense urine smell that was hard to ignore.

And if you're camping without power, get ready for a constant soundtrack of road noise and the never-ending traffic light hum throughout the night. Getting a good night's sleep is impossible. Many other campers also complained and asked to move campsites.

Stayed two nights purely as lots to do in Napier.

As a brit, would say this is very similar to Butlins. Very loud, lots of kids, facilities ok but deposits required for everything whether using a deck of cards($10deposit) or wanting to watch tv ($50deposit). Showers are a pain as they shut off constantly probs every 30 seconds. Quite noisy at night, music and singing, perhaps drunk guests. Expensive compared to other places.

    Great camping ground.

Everything you need. Pool, bar and restaurant, playground, games and tv room, wifi, modern kitchens and bathrooms. Showers have good water pressure. This place is great for families and in the middle of Napier.

The reception staff are friendly and helpful.

This place is $20 pp a night for unpowered.

Be aware this place is a MIQ site, they have a section of the grounds fenced off and we were told that no one can get out.

Very modern facilities but completely let down by the pathetic showers!

For the premium price to stay here I’m amazed that the showers are so hopeless. For starters you have to push a large, stiff button every 10 or 15 seconds otherwise the pressure drops and then shuts off, and also sometimes a solenoid clunks off, a loud gargling starts up, and the water goes cold until 2 or 3 minutes later when it clunks again and the hot water returns. Very unsatisfactory. I only had one full shower out of the 3 I had.

I’m amazed that this is allowed to continue as many people have commented about the showers both here and on Google reviews. We are now staying at Whakapapa campground and enjoying uninterrupted hot showers for a cheaper stay.

Overpriced $56 for a powered site for 2 people.

The most expensive camping I've stayed in 40 days.

49 nzd for a tent site.

I checked in without booking, and I had to make a one-day chargeback, but I was denied.

Could only do the chargeback 24 hours before check-in.

In the kitchen there are no pots, dishes, etc.

There are no rules for noise. 2am there were people partying in one of the rooms.

I do not recommend this camping to anyone.

One of the best campsites for facilities we stayed in New Zealand.

The site we had for our motorhome was very open, however we were lucky to be here off peak so that didn’t affect us so much. The staff and other reviews mentioned a 5 minute drive into Napier city centre; it is also a very easy 20 - 30 minute walk. The restaurant onsite was open and served what looked like pub meals. I would imagine in peak time this place would pack you in like sardines however we lucked out and we had a lot of space and the campsite was relatively quiet. Also easy to get the local wineries via bikes which they hire on site.

We usually do unpowered or powered sites while traveling around NZ, but decided to opt for a kitchen cabin this time.

Arrived late but the staff were really friendly. 5 mins drive to Napier centre, clean facilities and nice room. 24hour reception area, and large communal kitchen and outdoor area. However, some points off as the wifi was not working at all, even though it was free, and the tv didn't work either. Turned on the bedroom lights which blew out seconds later too. I did visit reception to see what was going on, but was told that work is being done in the area we had rented, so everyone was having issues. There was nothing she could do about it till the manager came in the morning. Tried at half 9 the next morning but still didn't work. Was woken up at 6.30am as the walls are thin and could hear people walking around and making brekkie in the next room. The pool is lukewarm, and didn't end up using it in the end. And in my opinion, it was very overpriced.

Stayed here heaps and they just keep raising the bar.

Heated pool clean smart kitchens BBQ's, play ground bouncy castle, bike service station, the works. Only reason it's not a ten was they didn't spray the grass for Onehunga (prickles) so you couldn't walk barefoot in the grass.

    Not a big deal.

    Worth every penny.

Immaculate facilities; lovely grounds and helpful staff. It would be a wonderful place for families as there are extensive play areas plus a pool. We are here in October so it is fairly empty but the sites are spacious, so even in high season it would comfortable.

We are in a camper van so I can't comment on units but as the grounds, washrooms etc are all beautifully maintained, I am sure they are too.

Very nice park, especially suited to large groups & families, the caravan sites were of a good size, facilities of a very good standard, and the crew all helpful and friendly.

Handy (though not really close) to the city centre or beach front, however prices reflect that. The fact WIFI was intermittent the only gripe.

We stayed here on a powered site over NYE, great facilities - TV Room, games room, restaurant, bar, sports playground, carts, heated pool, all the normal Top Ten style stuff plus a walk-in fridge where

you hire a locked box for $1.50, which fridge-less us appreciated.

When we went it seemed pretty full maybe close to 100% in cabins, flats etc and 75% on camping. Kids everywhere and a few big noisy groups talking noisily until late. Great with kids but living hell if you haven't got any.

On our trip we stayed almost exclusively at Top Tens so we didn't find Kennedy Park expensive in comparison but with most of the facilities being more appreciated by kids I wouldn't go if I wasn't with kids.

    Terrible service!

The staff double booked our room and were going to charge the same rates for a substandard replacement! I'd be in and out of the office for 2 days trying to discuss what had happened but the lady behind the counter didn't want to know! Too quick to reply which tells me she had no interest in our concerns, just brushed me off! 'At least it's a villa' is what the receptionist said with a bad attitude! Trust me lady, you aren't doing us a favor! It wasn't an issue for the staff or the manager that our holiday was disrupted, and no concern for them to lose $2300 that we will happily take elsewhere! Booking In advance has no guarantee that you'll keep your room. We are leaving Kennedy Park 9 days early, thanks to them! So terribly disappointed the way it was handled, and worst of all. .. They don't care! We'll never return here and will happily pass on our bad experience with family and friends!
