Worst top10 experience so far, unfriendly staff (not all but one of them), kitchen small and unclean, bathrooms unclean as well, paying 1$ for shower is okay, but if the first 2min are still icecold it
is quite bad. Nice location at the beach and good site, café looked good as well

Very good campsite with good, clean, hot showers.
The same goes for the kitchens. The plus point is the beach next door and the café. The lady at the reception was very nice, ready to show you the places to see

Didn't have the best experience.
I didn't find it particularly dog friendly due to all the strict rules, even the tone of them makes it seem like they dont actually want dogs at all. The lady that checked us in wasn't very friendly or welcoming. If we had any other options we would have gone elsewhere but we hadn't counted on the rain the night we stayed and had nowhere else to go. We camped in tents and couldn't get the pegs into the ground because it was all stones. There didn't seem to be any noise control cause there were people up late partying and someone's car alarm kept going off.
On the plus side like all Top 10s the amenities were really good, and they did get us in at late notice. It was a bit of a disappointment, we had stayed at Shelly Beach Top 10 not a week before this and had a great experience there.

Only campground we stayed at driving to Auckland from Christchurch where we had to pay for the showers.
Would have been ok if they had worked but they didn’t at 7:30am so had a cold shower. The facilities were small and old. And how do they get away with unisex showers and toilets when they have permanent people living there? Very creepy! No one answered the phone until 8:30am! Obviously late risers at this camp ground.

Lovely location, nice and quiet considering it was quite busy.
We arrived after hours so used their straight forward late check in service. We had a non-powered site for 2 people for $48. Toilets and showers were very clean, we didn’t use the kitchen or laundry room but I am guessing it is very clean and well kitted out as everywhere else was.

The campsite staff were super friendly and welcoming!
The cafe looked yummy.
We chose a powered beachfront site, so nice going to sleep with the sound of the waves crashing.
The toilets and showers were clean (you have to pay $1 to use the showers).

Love the proximity to the beach. We were here for just 1 night but we quickly decided that we'd come back for a longer stay in the future. The staff were helpful and accommodating. We travel with our dogs and the park was a great place to stop with them. Easy access to walks and clean facilities.

When you’ve already paid for a powered site I don’t see why you should have to pay for showers. Also only 3 for the women and it was packed!

Good and clean facilities.
10 mins drive from city center. This has been the most expensive campground we stayed so far 70$ a night for a powered site for 2 adults and 2 children age 1&4 (the price is 12$ per child which is not mentioned here) so the plus is close to beach and the minus is expensive.

As Top Ten sites go it was at the lower end.
Road noise pretty bad, needed wellies for the beach( deep tiny shingle), no view, and to add insult to injury extra payment required for the showers. They pleaded that they were in a ‘dry area’ ….fair enough, then reduce the camp fee? It just hacks people off when Top Ten sites are so much dearer anyway.

Was told that this park was pet friendly and had a booking confirmed, only to be rung and told it had been cancelled as they were “restructuring” their pet policy.
Did not receive a refund, nor response to any of my phone calls and emails requesting our money back as this was managements decision to cancel. Was looking forward to our stay, obviously they weren’t looking forward to us but enjoyed the free money.

We rate wifi highly, to have laughable reliability, even ‘free’ is a bit silly and cheap.
The tech is available, not expensive, get with the program!!
Clean enough, tidy enough, overpriced for what it is for me, especially dollar showers.
Good way to control water I guess, but unmetered and free showers the other end of the bay....
Pleasant staff, certainly no dramas.

Campervan site rows separated by hedges.
Flat and grassy ground. 48$ for a power site for 2 persons per night (beach sites more expensive). Showers 2$ extra. Laundry 4$ excluding detergent.
Facilities not new but clean.
Free WiFi offer is pre-historical; I felt reminded of 2012: 100 MB for one device valid for 30 minutes after activation.
10-15 minutes by car from Napier.

Great powered campervan site overlooking the ocean, beautiful.
the pricing in winter was ridiculous. $84 for 4 people and you have to pay $1 to shower for 5mins??? The timers on the tumble driers are set very short and you cant actually dry your clothes.
