Good campground, really nice bathroom block with heaters in the showers and a heated towel rail.

Has all the facilities you’d expect from a top 10, of course you do have to pay a high rate though.

Limited to 1GB interest per day- no fibre internet in Ohakune yet.

Laundry is $5 which was a bit annoying (cash machine and new world nearby though).

Very tidy, quiet, next to river, only 5 min walk to mountain kebabs.

    Positives-

    Good facilities.

    Negatives-

Bit like a small car park, no real soul, staff were a bit short. I.e wanted us to book two spaces in an empty park as we asked if we could stop parallel to river.

    A great camp!

Lovely ablution blocks with awesome hot and powerful showers which have heated towel rails, heat lamps and something sadly lacking in most camps, tons of hooks to hang your clothes etc up on whilst you shower. Beautiful kitchen and the laundry and drying room is great also. Plenty for the kids to do in the camp and when they get bored of the play area and jumping pillow, it’s only a short stroll to the middle of Ohakune for an ice cream.

There are places where you need to pay everywhere in the campground.

I chose Top10 because everything is very convenient and there is no need to pay twice. This completely affects the image of top10.

The charges are very expensive. In such a small town, charging this price is just unreasonable. never come back

Hi Lily, I cannot find a stay under your name from a month ago. But if you stayed in October with us, part of the month was school holidays and also Labour Weekend and the skifield still operating, so this is our peak season. Our charges are readily available online and of course if you just walk in on the day. We realise for some our place might be too expensive, but we are a Holiday Park offering a premium product winning numerous awards over the years for cleanliness, service and facilities. This does come at a cost and there are other accommodation provider in town and in the next town.

One of the best payed stays.

    Trip with kids:

Simply because the kitchen and dining room is next to a games room. And the playground with trampoline is also next to it.

    All facilities nice and clean.

    Very very friendly staff!

Pretty expensive with around 68 Dollars (we payed less by Top 10 Membership), but was absolutely worth it!

    The reception staff were lovely!

Some of the nicest we’ve come across in our 6 week trip. The toilets and showers were clean. The showers all had heated towel rails and infrared heat lamps. The kitchen was quite small for the size of the camp though and it was quite expensive at $52 for a unpowered for two adults, but we were able to do the tongariro crossing from here for an extra $50 dollars each so we paid for the convience.

Quite expensive, but a top class site.

Facilities best I have ever seen, if you want luxury. Showers are press button (free), but you get plenty of time and there is a heated towel rail, and a heated cubicle as well as hot water. there are the usual kitchen/dining area and lounge - with a piano! Indoor and outdoor drying areas. Buses available to the Reserve and walks. Ruapehu visible from the campsite - our first snow sighting in North Island! Reception doubles up as gift shop and information centre. Friendly - honest enough to admit that we could purchase wi-fi, but it doesn't work!

I'm not sure why this campervan park is rated as high as it was.

Out of all the places we stayed in New Zealand, the staff when we checked in seemed the least friendly compared to anywhere else. The park wasn't very well lit. The bathrooms were nice (warm with good showers) but I didn't feel that it made the dark campground worth it. They also charge quite a premium even when they didn't seem that busy and require 2 night stay. I would probably move on unless you absolutely must stay here for skiing in the winter.

It is always a fine line between being to dark or to bright, we have installed more solar sensor lights and LED lighting. Winter is our peak season and being at a higher altitude, cost for power is high

The camping area and facilities are all clean and very good, and the staff were friendly.

But $45/night for 1 person on a non powered tent site is exorbitant.

Top 10 is nice and well equipped as almost all top 10 elsewhere. The showers are actually super nice with wooden decor. The common rooms like my kitchen and the lounge is nice.

    Great holiday park!

Stayed there for 1 night on a non-powered site, $21 per person. Excellent and clean facilities including kitchen, dining room, TV room, games room, laundry ($3 per machine) and drying room which came in really handy as we had just returned wet and soaked from the Whanganui Journey. Shower and toilet block was newly renovated with heated towel rails, heat lamps in all shower cubicles, and hair dryers. WiFi & spa bath for additional costs. Definitely to recommend despite the higher price.
